at knotts berry farm they had a chicken that could play " old mac donald" in exchange for some grain .. now , as an adult i realize that the piano was rigged so that no matter what key the chicken pressed it went to the next note, but as a child i thought that was one of the most amazing things ever..
Beanie started when she was about 5 months(because that is when I bought her), but chickens can start earlier, if you can find the right size piano. I can give you some pointers to help you get started, if you like.
Beanie has different musical moods. Sometimes she plays long songs, other times she plays short ones. I think she likes the sounds because she seems to experiment with the keyboard. I suspect that all breeds of chickens are musical, but haven't done it enough to know which are the most musical.
