For gregmarlett: I agree with you. But the war in Iraq was motivated by wanting the Iraq oil resources. That is not a fadish conspiracy theory as so much else is. The war in Iraq is wrong.

If the war was for oil we wouldn't have this gas problem and we could have easily lifted the trade sanctions that we placed on Iraq.The war in Iraq was a REACTION driven by FEAR. French, Britich, CIA, Iraqi intell, Republicans AND Democrats (look up Iraq WMDs in 1998. Many Dems claming "Bush lied" were saying the same things 5 years earlier) all said there were weapons which still might be out there. Satelite images confirmed large mysterious convoys entering Syria from Iraq before invasion.

Doesn't look like anything that constitutes the description of "disgraceful statement"...seems like somebody may have failed english grammer. Also note the constant movement of his hands to his coat and back in and out of his pants...one of his interrogators would note this as a sign if LIES!!!
