Trent Reznor is a pop star, Skinny Puppy is real art? Why do you people always have to put down one talented artist in order to glorify another? They're both amazing. Just enjoy the music and stop excluding other great musicians to do it. Both artists have done things the other can not.

@hellscion7 Though I disagree with you, what's your point? If he was pop, he shouldn't even be brought up into the conversation and be put down. And so what if he was pop? Rap? Hip hop? Music is what it is. Skinny Puppy is amazing in their own way... I don't feel anyone has to put another professional artist down just to give them more credit. I think people are jealous Trent Reznor is more successful I guess. I couldn't care less.

@TheGorgorothSpire here we go again. Trent had more of an impact on the industrial scene, and Skinny Puppy had more of an impact on the emotions and lives of people. nin up to about 96 was great.

@TheGorgorothSpire I'm a fan of both but more-so skinny puppy. NIN is amazing also but nowhere near the talent of SP. and Trent Reznor himself would tell you that. Trust me. He looks up to them. Hell, he even looked up to them when he was starting out!! First he came out with an album (which I love) that is based around love. Then, a straight up industrial rock album. SP has nothing to do with guitars. Just synths and drums, that's it. They are completely different. Stop comparing them...

NIN didn't have more of an impact on the industrial scene. They (really he) had more of an impact on the mainstream scene. I loved NIN back in the day. But when I saw a magazine in the local convenience store calling Trent the "Elvis of Industrial" that pretty much summed it up. All he did was help make it trendy, like Elvis for the poor black man's blues. Now its all corporatised with gay stores like Hot Topic.

Too Dark Park was their best live show ever and these videos are a gem. Skinny Puppy has no equivelant anywhere, ever. There isn't another band who has ever been able to get to this level or reproduce this particular magic. Thanks again, zackh123.

God yes, TDP and Last Rights are masterpieces in their own right. Across any genre, no one has come close to this in production, lyric, and music perfection. This is my humble opinion. Oh and however you got these backing vids, fawking SCORE!!!!!

probobly has the most favorites on one album. tormentor, shore lined poison, natures revenge and rash reflection.

although as a continous listen i do like the period of 1984-1988 more.

vivi sex vi also has a ton of great songs.

Trent Reznor could never make Puppy obsolete! NO BAND ON EARTH could do that!!! As long as we [humans]are doing what we are doing to this planet, it natural inhabitants and ouselves and each other, Puppy will not become obsolte...so basically until we are extinct, Puppy will be very relavent and timeless. Back in 1986 when I first heard them, I remember saying to my sister [whom turned me on to them]"This band is 20 years ahead of their time, if not more; they will last into the 21st century."

Dark Side and Wizard Of Oz. Do you live under a rock? An no, it isn't an urban legend. It actually matches up in a very amazing way. Set your CD player to repeat the whole disc, hit play EXACTLY as the MGM lion begins his third roar. You'll need to know the lyrics to Dark Side well if you want to catch all the metaphors, but the general beat and tone of the music matches too. The CD plays 2.5 times through the movie, AND MATCHES UP ALL THE WAY TO THE END!!! Weird as hell.
