I've been told it doesn't hurt as is more of a spiritual feeling. It's not so much the suspension that worries, me as it seems to not hurt, but more the ramming the meat hooks though a large chunk of my skin part...

It is not worse than a normal piercing, or (that I felt very comparable) the piercing pain, when the IV katheter is placed for donating blood...
