Someone then decided that it could be misconstrued & that it wasn't politically correct so they came up with a new term "mixed race". Fanastic. From the opening guitar the music puts a big smile on my face. Been watching cartoons for nearly 40 years and they're still great. Hope I never grow out of them.

As someone who thinks I'm progressive, I really get annoyed with the left wing reactionary PC police. Here in North New Mexico, you see Pueblo and Navajo with Redskins and Chiefs hats in the sports bars and casinos. A guy I used to work with was Navajo and always wore a Redskins hat. I asked him why he always wore his teams' hat and he said "To irritate white people."
I laughed hard at his Big Rez humor.

It's not like Warner Bros cartoons just stereotyped the usual people, they stereotyped everybody back then - "Indians", rednecks, the British, rich people, poor people, white people, black people... that was kind of the point of cartoons in those days - to portray people's quirks in a funny way. It was never meant to hurt or insult. People need to laugh at themselves a little bit and we'd probably all get along much better.
