  • Thanks for the map! Will check it out as soon as im back from holiday myself now :)

  • Hey could you put up this map up for download so i can take a closer look at it please? I can't quite figure out how it works from the video.

I think i'm missing some stuff here.

    Thanks in advance!

  • @ExanimoNL First of all sorry for the late response, I've been on vacation the last few weeks and I guess you posted exactly on the day I left xD Anyway I added a download link in the description. It's my experimental world so you will find all sorts of experiments all over the place. But since the booster glitch got fixed most of the experiments don't work anymore.

  • Texture pack? recording program? :P

  • @TheEpicSandMan I added a link to the texture pack in the description now ;) I recorded it with fraps, I assume you know it :)

  • One question. Bit of a stupid one maybe. Can this system work in reverse? I guess that there would not necessarily be a good reason for this, but versatility is always good, and it would further insure that nothing could disrupt it.

  • @adognamedsally Nope it won't work in reverse, but it might be possible to modify it so it does. You'll have to implement more detection rails though and more wiring then I have hear, possibly causing the system to get bigger as well.

  • Neat design but what happens if the missing cart is the one in the front? You would be waiting for a cart that will never show up I think? (ie: It fills a back gap but i am not sure it would guarantee a cart would always show up when requested)

  • @Crysyn1 Well if the first one is missing it won't give a cart of course, but it will move everything forward so eventually a cart will come out if there are carts in there. I haven't really thought about that, but I think that with some smart wiring it might be possible to fix that. Thing is, most of the horizontal storage solutions have problems like these, a system that just moves everything forward without removing gaps also doesn't give a cart if the first slot is empty.

  • That's neat. =)

  • Your is too big. I know a method that's not automatic but triggers when you leave the station on a cart. Same principle, less track, less space, more carts.

  • @zerohourkevin This one can also be made to trigger on leaving the station, but the main thing this magazine does that no other magazine does (afaik) is if you take out a minecart somewhere in the middle of the magazine it'll fill that gap automatically, most others just keep the gap. Normally that isn't an issue of course, but I tried to make a design that's very robust in use where you can do lots of things without it breaking.

Anyway thanks for the comment ;)
