Allah, has stated in the Quran that he is the highest being and that there is nothing greater than him, therefore it isn't shirk. God can't commit shirk. The best example of shirk is saying Jesus is son of God.

The prayer moves were taught to Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) when he ascended to heaven and witnessed the Angels in Heaven praying to Allah(S.W.T). It was not given to previous prophets but to to Seal of the Prophets and all those who follow him. The times of the prayers were given by Angel Gabriel ( Jibril A.S). A detailed description is given in books of Hadith.

However, i believe that some people need to be constantly reminded about the existance of Allah(swt) even when they are not reading teh Qur'an, thats why i think this picture is a good way of strengthening our faith.
