  • when i press on the toe, it doesnt switch to AUX (WAH) Please help

  • Thanks! I just got a Vypyr 30, and this helped.

  • Thanks man, that's exactly the kind of review I was looking for!

  • hi when i plug in my sanpera the green light "main" doesn't light up but the red one does at bankA ie. 1 and if i try switching banks it doesn't work, can u help me out please?

  • Good demo, thanks! I'm about to get a Vyper 30, and also need a vol pedal, so I figured I may as well spend a few extra bucks and get the Sanpera 1. I play lap steel, and the versatility of the Vyper blew me away, I had a gritty overdriven Peavey Classic sound within seconds. If you get a second, please let us know how the amp and pedal worked for you live.

    Thanks again!

    Pete

  • @Lapsteelz So far, I've had it for about a year and a half. It's stood up really well. One issue so far where the fuse blew. The guy I took it to (as the fuse is in the board) bypassed the fuse in the board and pigtailed one in so you don't have to change the board if you blow a fuse. Other than that, no issues, it's been great.

  • Its great you didnt do a "super good guitar video." all ive found are idiots who digress and just show off instead of showing their product. Good job mate

  • @Randomtask68 it records 30 seconds

  • also how did it go live ???

  • Wow i've had the vypyr 30 for years and never knew this existed.........how long can the looper record for ???

  • i know the sanpera 2 saves the presets you edit. does the sanpera 1 do the same?

  • @JerryMan95 The Sanpera 1 saves the presets in the amp, so you are able to save 3 banks of 4 presets. The Sanpera 2 lets you have over 100 presets, but honestly, when I play live, I'm usually only using at the most 6.

  • @BIGsexy9216 hey does that amp works for all the vypyr series? does it work for the 75w ?

  • @RmNaNtCbScRrn Yes, 30w and up.

  • Is there any way to tap in your delay tempo with this one?

  • @4eversNdeavour Supposedly tapping on the button that you've selected will set the tap tempo but I found this didn't work very well so I set the temp on the tap button on the amp.

  • cool video man..........thank you very much

  • thnx

  • Just bought the Vypyr tube 120 and I'm using a Boss OD-20.. I got the amp so I could ditch my pedalboard.. could you please tell me how long the cable from amp to footswitch is? Is it practical for gigging?

    Cheers.

  • @Oshia666 The cord could be longer. It's about 8 to 10 feet.

  • and how does it work on stage? becouse you sed you gonna use it live:)

i have one to im now turning the screw for aux xd

  • hey do you think that the sanpera 2 is worth it more than the one?? plz reply soon

  • Thanks for the video, think i am gonna get the Sanpera 1 now instead of the 2, and use the extra money i would have spent, on a Shure SM 57 for recording my guitar amp and way better sound quality than a video recorder's default sound haha :) woot

  • hey what come with the peavey sanpera 1 pedal?

  • @Tito13theGuitarist The pedal and the MIDI cord to connect it to the amp.

  • yo, would i be able to use this with a microkorg - for the looping?

  • @EnterShikariAVFC I don't know much about the Micorkorg, sorry. There is a looper build into the pedal already that works pretty good.

  • thanks a lot for the video!

  • Do you think this pedal would suffice if I just simply want to switch between distortion and clean?

  • @des9206 It does but with a bit of a catch. You have to program a clean sound into a preset and a distorted into another preset and switch between them. I wasn't sure if I'd like it but it works out well. For example: I can have a clean Fender Twin sound on one and a Mesa Rectifier sound on another. The Vyper is very flexible to allow you to dial in the sounds that you want.

  • thanks for making the video cheers how did it work for you in a live situation?

  • @promusicman09 The pedal works good for live situations as long as you're not switching through too many Banks per song as this is the biggest downfall for the Sanpera 1. If you're using more than 4 presets per song you'll want to use the Sanpera 2 as you can have up to, I think, 200 presets. Other than that, it works great!

  • thanks for making the video cheers

  • For switching you have 3 banks with 4 pre-sets in each. When you turn on the amp it automatically sets on bank 1. To switch pre-sets you press one of the 4 buttons. To switch banks you press buttons 1 and 2 at the same time and then press the number of the bank that you want to switch to (1, 2, or 3) immediately after. Then you can press with pre-set you want. This can be a bit of a pain especially live if you have to switch banks during a song.

  • Is it easy to switch between presets within a bank with this?

  • @Swiggles1987 Yup. Bank A is the default, with 4 presets. Press buttons 1 & 2 at the same time to switch the bank and press 2 right after which will switch to Bank B or press 3 to switch to Bank C. 4 presets per bank.

  • hey nice video i was thinking about getting the sanpera 2 pedal because it seems more practical for live performances

  • @charveljammer I use the Sanpera 1 live all the time. It really depends on how many sounds you need per set. If you're changing a lot, like 4 sounds a song and all the songs are different, the Sanpera 2 is better as there'll be less button pushing. If you use only 3 or 4 basic sounds or have time between songs to switch banks the Sanpera 1 will be fine and it's about 1/2 the price.

  • @BIGsexy9216 Do you think it's reliable, and what do you do to pick a specific preset number in the bank?

  • @Swiggles1987 Hey, I've been using a Vyper 75 with the Sanpera 1 for about 6 months now when I play live. I've had one issue with the amp where the fuse blew and had to have it replaced, but no issues with the pedal.

  • Hey, is the Sanpera just a footswitch or it also has wah and whammy??

  • @GregHM81 Hi, sorry for the delay on the question. It is a Wah pedal as well. You push down on the toe and is switched to the wah, push down again and it goes back to volume. If you switch the Effects to Pitch Shifter the pedal becomes a pitch shifting machine!

  • @BIGsexy9216 Don't worry, I don't have the money yet =P

Well, tell me, what would you recommend?? Peavey Vypyr+Sanpera I or Vox VT30 or VT40+?

  • @GregHM81 Again, sorry for the delay to my response. I have only played the Vox models at a store and for me, I didn't like that I couldn't change tones well. What I mean by that is on the Vyper I can choose and amp and channel then I can edit it. For example: play metal or hard rock I can choose the 6505 red channel to get lots of distortion, then I can dial the pre-amp back or more to get more gain changing the level of distortion, then I can edit the low, mids, and highs.

  • thanks bro you have been a great help, just bought the peavey amp and pedal, so can I will probably be asking for more help. thanks for taking the time to make this great video.

  • @BIGsexy9216 could you try one of the pedals out on your vyper and let me know if the same thing happens? i am going to get the 75w vypyr this weekend and hopefully a sanpera 2 in october but your video helped me alot thanks man! subscribed :)

  • @Prototype1023 I tried my pedals with it. I tried my Dunlop Wah, Boss Delay, Ibanez Tube Screamer, Boss Chorus, Boss Mega Distortion, and Boss Auto Wah. They all worked fine using the Green Twin or Green Delux channels. I found the distortion pedal went a bit funny on the red 6505 and K-stien. Otherwise, they worked good. My opinion, I wouldn't worry about other pedals as the amp has great distortion and pretty good effects.

  • hey quick question

so this plugs in the back and could i use other pedals with this

    thanks and great video man

  • @Aerosmitty77 It uses an 8 pin MIDI controller cable. Other MIDI pedals apparently fit but won't be able to access all of the functions that the Sanperas can. You can use regular pedals going straight into the amp. I would use them on the clean channels though to get the most out of them.

  • hey i have a question. i have the 30w vypyr and every pedal ive tried kills my volume. id have to turn the volume all the way up to make it sound halfway up if that makes sense. does this pedal do the same thing? im still new and tone and pedals/:

  • @Prototype1023 Hey, not sure why that would happen. I have a bunch of pedals ut haven't tried them with the Vypyr. This doesn't affect the volue at all except for when looping. I find before I record a loop, turning the volume down a bit with the pedal helps the loop to come through at a decent volume. If you don't, it's too loud to play over. I like the Sanpera 1 and find that it works decently during live performances too.
