I'm not sure this fits the movie. Maybe Atonement, which I haven't seen, but this movie isn't really intense enough for this song! Well, I don't think so anyway. But I love this song.

it almost sounds a little bitter, like when she talks about the things he said to her, "let's grow old, fly the winds, etc", and she couldn't say no to him when he said things like that - how else was she supposed to behave?
Thanks for putting it so eloquently. That's the way I also inteerpeted the song and that was the story I was trying to tell with the clips I chose. Although I added the twist of Jack being dead instead of just using Lizzie.
