The problem here is that the audience (who make any vocals you CAN hear from Selena sound terrible) is too loud singing along with Selena and the drums are too overpowering. Perhaps the people there could actually hear Selena more clearly without the person recording this being a distraction singing along with Selena and overpowering Selena's voice because they're right on top of the camera. It just doesn't come off very good on THIS recording.
Maybe pop-rock just isn't the right genre for Selena. This reminds me of Hilary Duff's voice being drowned out by the instruments on her sophomore album. Maybe pop electronica would suit Selena's voice more.
it was her forst performance, cut her some slack, I'm a Miley fan but to be fair, Miley lip synced in her first concerts and she grew to become one of the greater performers of all time... cut selena some slack and let her grow as an artist... thank you :)

If it were Miley, there would be no comment without the word "slut" "whore" and the likes. but selena is an AAAANGEL, she can take bikini pics, she can have a scandalous family and a mother who got pregnant at the age of 15, and nobody says anything bad about her. I love Miley and Selena, but this is so unfair and annoying.

Aw-I think she did good for this being her first performance! & She's really interacting with the crowd too-Sometimes that hard for people. It's kinda hard to hear her with all the people singing-But then again-That's good since she has a big fan base & there were a lot of people there who wanted to be there for her. This is awesome! & I think she did great! She's so good! Thanks for posting! :)

The problem here is that the audience (who make any vocals you CAN hear from Selena sound terrible) is too loud singing along with Selena and the drums are too overpowering. Perhaps the people there could actually hear Selena more clearly without the person recording this being a distraction singing along with Selena and overpowering Selena's voice because they're right on top of the camera. It just doesn't come off very good on THIS recording.

Maybe pop-rock just isn't the right genre for Selena. This reminds me of Hilary Duff's voice being drowned out by the instruments on her sophomore album. Maybe pop electronica would suit Selena's voice more.
