I'm nto sure when this will come out but it was at a film festival earlier this year. I doubt it'll be released in theatres. I think it's one of those 'straight-to-DVD dramas'. I wanna see it though because it was filmed down the road from me (I used to cycle past every day and try sneak a peek!)
Good Gravy this looks amazing! A throwback to the kind of family films they hardly make any more. Can't find anything about a release date though:( Hope that over time atleast a dvd will come to the US.
Sorry I can't remember now. I searched it a while ago and had completely forgotton this new movie until you sent me a reply.
I think I just searched "Eliza Hope Bennett" or maybe something to do with her singing the song in the credits of Inkheart. Sorry I can't be of any more help.
The books were written by my wifes Grandmother. She wrote them at her home near Cambridge - you can visit the house - it was built around 1160! (not the house in the film).
Its already released in some countries, and is on at the British Film Festival next week. Hopefully released in UK next year. Directed by Julian Fellowes of Gosford Park fame.
Wonderful movie. <3 <3 <3 Eliza Bennett is very elegant and lovely.

Is Eliza Hope Bennet's role here a major one? In this trailer she looks like she plays a blind person.

She does play a blind person, she said so in one of her interviews after Inkheart. :)

I think it comes out in 2010 since production is still in progress (it was filmed near me)

Is this soley adapted from The Chimneys of Green Knowe or does it contain parts of the story from The Children of Green Knowe also?
It would be a shame not to include The Children of Green Knowe.
