I'm having an issue where the cameras were displaying in color for 20 minutes or so after we hooked it up.then boom .black and white and has stayed in black and white for 3 days now.can anyone help?
Only problem i have got is my screen is white i have sound but no picture, My signal strength is full. I have tried holding the channel button in for a period of time but no luck has anyone else had this or got this problem
Ive got the same problems with poor picture quality .but if I plug the camera`s directly into my monitor the picture quality is perfect ... conclusion = Swanndvr4-950 is crap ...
guys i got a dvr and i am done with internet settings.everythings up but when i try to see my cameras from another computer using the IE and activating activeX i still can't get picture of the cameras. can someone help on this? i just got problem with the video streaming.
@strangegeorge2 I had the same problem. you need to go into your internet security setting and enable or disable Active X control or something. it then works mate.
I tried plugging the DVR onto my monitor and it keeps beeping and it says on screen that there's an error with my HDD. Do you have any idea what is wrong? Even if the HDD is full, can't I just erase it? When I plug it to the monitor, nothing shows up on the screen besides "HDD error".
Have you managed to resolve this? I got here via your post on the forums and I have the same problem. Gone from an older machine to a custom built one with the same problem. It's not so much black and white but the colours are wrong. Red shoes as blue! I've tested the camera straight to the TV so I know that's fine, it's just the card. SWANN Tech support are useless.
@deathsfaction I have just upgraded to Windows 7 32bit (does not work on the 64bit) and all is well apart from the fact my green grass looks like sand?

Hi there.. You have the very cheap range of cameras and the cheapest recorder.. If you want better performance then i would suggest upgrading..

@sjan14 see if you can Format the hard drive and try record. if not the HDD might need changing

Have you gone in and adjusted camera settings? (gain, contrast, brightness etc)
