Guards that come with the table saw is the first thing that goes into the garbage pile, the moulding head holds 2 knives, all fingers are in perfect shape so far. Shapers are very dangerous, just keep the respect for the tools.
No riving knife or guard on the table saw, single knife 'french' head on the moulder with no kick back protection - how many fingers have you got left !!?
Hi guys! I am new to the "shaper world". I bought a 1 hp shaper. Where can I find the cutter head and knives? Is is 1 hp shaper enough to power that assembly or do I have to continue to use 1/2" router bits. btw, I do have a spindle with small rub collars (if that helps). Thanks for the vid. Feedback please. Go Wood workers!
The Jig that you are referring to is called the "Mech2-Jig", it's something that I invented, made and sold a few years back. I have a couple of them that I use all the time, I might start making them again one day, they are expensive to produce.

Awesome. Can you tell me more about the pressure rollers on the shaper? Where do you get them and what are they called? Thanks for posting the video.
