your fucking retarded because there is such thing as open class in racing and if the ek9 was going up against everything then it would be a piece of shit so stfu
@sunjitsingh3559 lol. look for lap records in tsukuba you can see a lot of tuned(by great tuners of japan) gtrs, evos, stis, and the likes got beaten by your so called piece of shit ek9.. one of the mines gtrs only does 1'06 even the latest nsxr does 1'04 only on this track. gallardo doing 1'06. so yeah...
@sunjitsingh3559 MAybe true but you can never be 100% in circuit racing, not to mention your comparing turbocharged cars to a NA car. Boost a B series civic and you can throw down the same power or more with less weight.
how much does this b16 weigh it shouldn't be much more than a K20A? if it was mine, I would go for a K-swap. More modern engine with high reliability. Either way amazing car!!!
All these points are valid, but what is the life expectancy of this specific B16 working at 10,000rpm. The K20A goes to 260 PS without much effort and without opening the engine thus it has OEM like reliability. If they were using 16" alloys along with the K20 swap we might be positively surprised.....
@mathematalef0 on a different track yes, but all that matters here is weight balance and peak power rather than torque, depending on the compression ratio and piston ring gapping the life expectancy could be anywhere from 10k to 50k miles. They build them for endurance racing so it isnt going to blow out prematurely
i do that in my racing events too. but that's just basics. This guy is the track time record holder of Tsukuba circuit. Everything he does, looks beautiful.
@golferchin76 ,You mean The real Drift King Keichi Tsuchiya ,him and Hattori,Gansan, what skill they have ,one thing keichi mentions in every sentance when talking about drifting is balance ,look at any of the best motoring touges
the cars handleing is so neutral! it has no under or overstering issues. i dont car about power(yes i do), if i can get my car to handle like this ill be satisfied
To reply to your video info - I dont think you can compare the times between '98 and '07. There are way too many variables - track condition, temperature etc, not to mention the driver is 9 years older. In the 90's Tsuchiya was a competetive racing driver, not a tv presenter! The B series is a great engine, especially on a track (ie above 7K all the time)but put it against a k series on the road and it will be blown away.
THIS IS AWESOME

@mathematalef0 i'm pretty sure spoon knows what they are doing. 17s over 16s? there's gotta be a reason behind that.

That is one overall amazing car bring that engine into the uk and all those hot hatches with 240bhp turbo 2.5 v6, will shit them selves.
Amazing!!!!

It's been bored to 1.8litre by spoon. But either way, 260hp from a 1.8litre is just as amazing.
