The ability to at least have a conversation and discuss the opposing views with a high level intelligence is important and is how people learn. And at the end, they certainly don't appear to have any real animosity. Compare this interview with just about any time Fox News has an atheist on and you'll see my point, I'm sure.

You can't say something is rude because you don't agree with the viewpoint. I don's see any point in this interview in which Penn is the slightest bit offended.

An interviewer's job is to challenge the interviewee and take them out of their comfort zone. People want a press junket where he is sniffing farts lobbing him softballs the entire time?

On another notw, I've been reading Penn's book and I have to say it's brilliant! I just read a touching story the other night in it about him and some friends taking an ex-Jew out to a restaurant for his first bacon cheeseburger. It was a really impactful story to read
