i was in japan a while ago and was looking at buying these phones outright but u cant u have to be living in japan and theres no point anyway as u cant unlock them!! fuckkkkkkkkkkkk ahh well
That's true. Japanese mobile operators are making big efforts to produce devices that will be compatible with worldwide WCDMA protocol. This might be reality in the next few years. But for now, the coolest models are only available there.
japanese phones were made to be sold only in japan, how come hong kong have also the official rights? i dont undertand. Theres a softbank HK too or it's only for exportation

It's not because the international event was in HK that all technologies and products displayed there are for HK's market.
At the other hand, there are many Softbank, Sharp and Toshiba phones being sold in HK, although, there's no Softbank operator.
