Not sure in which part you mentioned the root of the word Theosophy, but unless you have HPB stating the root, it would more likely come from "Theo" (obviously) and "Sophia", the latter meaning wisdom and more commonly used in English to mean "science of" as in philosophy.

His complaint is reminiscent of the gentlemen who critics that your oratory skillz are too polished and it is the cause of the audiences disinterest in watching the whole program. Simpler words would, I believe, not change the audience so much. I find in my run-in with the public(I've worked with high net worth for over a decade and PR just as long) and most of the hardest to lead out of the "CAVE" are peeeps with lots of education.
