  • there will be a sequel trust me i saw on wikipedia they are writing it right now

  • I always believed that the "thing" falling was the monster itself (i.e. it's alien, not of this Earth).

I mean, this thing was supposedly living at or near the bottom of the Ocean, right? There's no way a crashing satellite would make it down that deep. Not unless the satellite was made of solid lead or something :-P

  • @richard20bris People went down to find the satellite and woke up the monster

  • @perm30 actually I did! When I was at the movies n I saw this part I was like WTF is that? I automatically assumed it was the monster thing falling from space or something.

  • Wow this video i actually see it thank you. And yes, cloverfield 2 is coming out trailer is already up yay!

  • It's rumoured that a sequel will be hitting the screens in 2014.

  • even tho i think this is pretty cool i dont think anybody who watched this movie for the first time woulda spotted that

  • There where always more than One Monster they were dropped in the whole World but in the First Movie Weve just Seen New York gettin Cruished im really excited for a Second park

  • 00:00

  • I finally can see it!

  • Due that is fucking crazy man u r beast fir pointing that shit out dude

  • hey um vereyone i think that ya its a baby look at it so small so he grew up

    well tahts my theorie

  • I saw it!, i herd there makin a new movie, were theres more than one monsterthis time, its going to be sick:)!!!

  • Btw, hope u dont mind i screenshoted thisvideo and posted it on FB

  • @armedchalko Not at all. Enjoy!

  • wow

  • If that was just a baby then imagine it's mom...

and where the hell is she??? O.o

  • Durr, the science doesn't make sense for a horror movie.

    -_-mfw

  • @deadithink lol yeah I hate that, cause I definitely cant enjoy a movie unless its 100% scientifically accurate

  • "Professor, I'm glad you've got an absolute definition of life in the Universe, but perhaps the Universe has got ideas of its own, hm?"

    -The Doctor

  • The Cloverfield monster can't be from the Ocean because it doesn't look like an aquatic creature. Where are its fins?????? How does it swim? It definitely looks like a terrestrial creature. If the director really meant to say the Cloverfield monster is aquatic then that was very stupid because the creature has no aquatic resemblance.

  • @freedomapplied Further more I forgot to mention that if it slept in the occean for a thousand years, then what does it do on the land? A creature that stays in the water for so long, definitely has no amphibious properties (meaning it can't breathe air). So I hope that the director wasnt so stupid to really claim that this monster came from the ocean.....

  • @freedomapplied Good point but it may also mimic some other animals in nature. I know there are some frogs that "die" every winter and come back to life even after being frozen for months on end with no vital signs or any signs of life. It maybe could suspend itself for periods of time. There are pictures from the ARG when the movie was coming out of it in the deep ocean. Those things on it's head could be also used for breathing underwater.

  • Thank you someone finally posted a good enough view to really see it

  • @MysteryReiZero that boat is the boat my father is the captain of you can see that boat at sheepshead bay its called the atlantis.... its a beautifull boat

  • i dont like that it was a satelite it didnt really work with the whole "the monster is a baby" thing cuz if it was under water for a thousand years how is it not fully grown? i meen when i sleep i have a beard in the morning so i know everything grows when its asleep haha

  • @1meeeeeeeeee1 Well it can be considered a baby for it's species. That and it added some "oh yeah, that's why" with the way it was acting. It was scarred, calling for it's mother but getting bombed and shot the whole time.

  • Wait, i think i saw it. Did it splash by the front of the boat?

  • one thing that bothers me is that at the end when hud dies, the monster looks so small, i mean compare the size of it on the scene where he strikes the helicopter down. he's huge but on his final scene he looks a lot smaller!

    ps: sorry for my english.

  • god i love this movie so damn much, specially for all these little details

  • I actually saw the sattlelight or monster falling in the movie

  • i didnt even notice it the second time i saw it and i watched the scene over and over again after watching this. streaming websites may be free, but ever so slightly shittier quality can mean a lot

  • Did any of u think tht the monster could have been under water the whole time becuz it seems like it's more of a normal splash than a splash from a impact I personally beileve it was on earth the whole time

  • i didnt notice it my first time watching it

  • I think its the monster because if you look closely, it moans BEFORE it hits the water, so its probably bracing for impact

  • @heartsforcats The "roar" is actually after the splash. In this video it seems like it's before but the audio and video aren't in sync. Watch the guy's mouth at the end. It doesn't match up. This video isn't really for the audio though it's more for actually seeing the fall.

  • how did any1 notice that in the first place!?!?

  • Why does it slow down before impact?

  • i can hear the monster, but can´t see the satellite

  • The Slusho drink was also featured in Alias. Tagruato was also featured in Star Trek (the one made by Abrams).

  • @10basetom Slusho was also in Star Trek. In the scene where Kirk and Uhura meet in the bar. She orders a Slusho. There's also a photoshoot of all the Heroes characters drinking Slushos.

  • Btw, i think the splash is not big becuase it falls very far away in ghe ocean.

  • I think that is the monster because if it was a satelite it would burn and have smoke.

    This is dark unburning thing.

But it's kinda weard that he only takes the head of the statue of liberty, does it mend to make a sign with it?

  • @codgaviee he just tried to eat the head, and when he found out it wasent tasty, he spit it out.

  • I don´t think its a satellite I think its the monster

  • (From son of acct holder). When satellite's fall it has a smoke or fire tail. Hmmm.

  • J.J STATED in the special features that the bicth that attacked the city was the baby. baby is big. mommy/daddy is bigger. so if there is gonna be a seacond one, it will be mom/dad that rape people.

  • The director confirmed that it was Supermans father (Jor-El) taking a shit. *SPOILER*

  • @TheCZDude Cony Island is in NY and NY is near the ATLANTIC OCEAN... (everyone knows that the Atlantic Ocean is on the East side of the USA) and the monster was sleeping there for centuries underwater *since it IS a water mammal... thing*

  • @TheCZDude Lol it was a satalite, The director confirmed it was made by the company Rob was going to work for in Japan if he'd of left.

  • guys go on wikipideia its a damn satelitte wiki pidia asked the director jeez

  • the sequel comes out in 2012

  • wait wait how do you not know that where the monster came in? and and did beth and rod die in the end or what?

  • the satelite woke up the monsters.

  • oh ya the monster does scream before it hits

  • i cant even see it in hd....>.<

  • it was the moster it was confirmed by jj abrams. the monster landed in the water 7 months later the oil company began digging woke the monster and starter the rampage.

  • doesnt look like a satellite

  • That's a satellite? Aww man, this whole time I thought it was the monster itself crash landing.

    Boner kill...

  • Cool but the alien is the baby so it's confused that's why it's attacking the city because the satellite woke him/her up

  • i saw it on channel 4 when they put it,this movie is very mysterious and full of secrets

  • should have worn a helmet before it slept

  • How do you guys know that was the monster moaning? It could've just been a sound from the ferris wheel or whatever they're on.

  • if you listen carefully you can hear some kind of moan thing like Clover's roar.

  • what happened when I heard some scream thing from 18:00 to 20:00?

  • ha cool, but the monster roared before the satellite hit, which kinda makes it a tad unrealistic :P

  • Its the satellite that has waken the monster

  • is that a satelite or cloverfield himself?

  • No wonder I didn't see this in theatres and on tv. It's so damn small!

  • Comment removed

  • Found it

  • Still cant see it. :(

  • maaaaan i didnt even notice that, thats pretty crazy

  • ikr?

  • How could this thing not have been woken up by anything other than a satellite? Look how close to shore it is! No one has seen that on a radar, or scuba diving? What about earthquakes, and other natural disasters? This doesn't seem real enough.

  • lol u fucking retard earthquakes are caused by tec tonic plates on the earth moving not by fucking thing crashing into the see u prick, oh and the speed the satallite would of been travaling would be well the impact of it would be big put it that way lol

  • Tectonics is one word you stupid cock sucker. As for the rest of my comment, reread it, and you'll notice I mentioned OTHER natural disasters. And earthquakes very well effect the fucking sea, you stupid mother fucker. You are a disgrace to retards an you make shit look smart.

  • The monster screams before it hits, fail?

  • @DrFlanigan so if you fell off a cliff you would only scream when you hit the ground?

  • @Thewarrior26

You fucking moron. Everyone is saying that a satellite fell into the water and hit the monster, waking it up.

Therefore my comment "The monster screams before it hits, fail?" makes sense because it has nothing to with falling off a cliff.

You stupid fucking dipshit, get you're facts straight before you decide to bitch about something.

  • @DrFlanigan Yeah I suppose you're right, I just think that it was a lame idea for the satellite to wake it up i mean did no-one find an 100 foot high monster in all those years

  • @DrFlanigan Well you obviously wouldn't hear it once it's underwater. Maybe that's when it realized it was about to hit.

  • @DrFlanigan your right.

  • i still dont get why the monster roars before the satellite crashes the ocean......the monster roars at 0:08 and the satellite crashes at 0:09

  • It was a satellite from a Japanese Satellite company that Rob (Main Character) was going to work for if he left Manhattan to Japan, the satellite is called Slusho, it fell from the Earth's orbit because it failed. It came down into the Atlantic Ocean, which awakes the Monster's sleep from her Million Year sleep, she was on an angry rampage and striked Manhattan. *SPOILER* Also, the director comfirmed it was actually a satellite.

  • How do u know all this ?

  • @Infamous408SJ I thought Clover was the baby. Not the mother.

  • did they tape it accidentally or that is japanese satelit or what?

  • finally, a clear video on this topic so u can see it!

  • I think that's the monster falling from space hence the noise... why would the end of the movie show a satellite? USE YALL'S BRAINS

  • i think that too

    =]

  • The satellite fell in the ocean, and awakened the monster from its 1 million year sleep.

Personally I think its a mutated lobster or something, with the mutation's cause probably being pollution over the years.

  • because the satallite was what woke the creature up.

  • finally i can freakin see it

  • So why did it fall?

  • This is a little unrealistic, and I know this whole movie is unrealistic to begin with, since there's a big monster and all, but you would think that SOMEBODY in the whole entire population on that island would at least notice something as big as a satellite falling from the sky.

  • shit that was small lol

  • go to 00:29 and you can hear the monster make some noise, like crying...

  • That was actually the noise of the satellite falling.

  • well =) i said that because i saw it on wikipedia XD!

  • naw it was actually the satellite wakin up the monster when it hit. hence the oil station thing. the monster was pissed cuz that shit and made hell on the drilling station. it was there satellite after all

  • oo crap i saw it

  • OH SHIT! I SAW IT! Wow.....

  • i always thought that was a bird

  • but i thought the monster was supposed to be a baby~!! thats what it says when you watch the behind the scenes footage.

  • Its so hard to see. I wanna see the monster dieXD

  • it just falls down and dies and its an Inanimate version of the monster.

  • Whoa... that's hard to see, but it's there. What does it mean?

  • It was the satellite that fell. It was part of the marketing campaign for the movie. Apparently, it is what caused Tagurato (fictional company in the cloverfield world that deep sea drills for the main ingredient for Slusho) to retrieve it and wake up the monther who was under water sleeping for 1000 years (according to the director) which caused the destruction in the movie.

  • @iKingAntonio Well, since you posted that a year ago I'm pretty sure you figured this out on your own already. The satellite fell out of orbit into the ocean, awakening the beast below...what did you call it Tagurato? and so the monster was pissed and pulled the head off the the nearest thing it could find, the statue of liberty. But just so you know, the dude who created Cloverfield confirmed a sequel! can't wait!
