Was the reporter/anchor on the phone during the interview? Zapruder was even more disturbed to find out that Life magazine (to whom he sold the film) had reversed two crucial frames before they released it. This gave the false impression that t Kennedy's head had snapped forward when the fatal shot struck, when in fact it had snapped backward.
Life magazine had to admit the "error".
It ruined their credibility and I don't think the magazine ever recovered.

Was the reporter/anchor on the phone during the interview? I'm no expert lip reader but looked like there was no need for any interpretation (only thing I could think of why he would be so rudely holding that shit up to his ear while being talked to). Was he on the phone with his mom? Wife? Or did the CIA call him to him he would be next if he aired the film?

@Danbo342 This all took place in a huge confused rush. Reporters prevented mass panic by getting updates any damn way they could, including being on the phone during TV interviews. Nobody knew what was going to happen next. Rumors and speculation -- was this the prelude to more and bigger attacks? Maybe a Russian invasion? That day, reporters and journalists in all media were heroes -- not the least of whom was Jay Watson of WFAA.
