  • Breath taking! what part of Georgia is this?

  • texas indigo right?

  • I am actually in Georgia and they put out indigo snakes here years ago so not sure where they came from to start with

  • @tlgentry24 If you're in georgia then you are seeing the eastern indigo (Drymarchon couperi)

  • Cool.

  • r they vicious

  • Thanks for sharing. They have been so exploited. I hope we can keep them around.

  • Considering how extremely difficult they are to get as a pet, I'm wondering exactly how they have been exploited?

  • They are hard to get precisely because they were exploited and are now protected. It's called verb tense, look into it.

  • Actually it's mostly due to rattlesnake roundups. People pouring gas down into burrows to flush them out. It's called ignorance. Look into it.

  • My son & I held one @ the Cincy Zoo last summer. It was an awesome animal. The softest, smoothest snake i have ever held. Great experience for my 5 year old, too.

  • this snake looks scary and poisonus, but is not and actually makes a great pet owers say.

  • I saw one the other day in La Joya Tx that was as big around as my arm and looked to be every bit of nine foot. And quick as heck. I wanted to watch him but he was way to fast!

  • Thanks for posting, really cool!

  • The are the longest snakes in the US right?

  • yes, but they squirt poo!
