im doing the stroop effect for my project in psychology, now, would you recommend the person reading the word or the color? in the original test they read the word but i did both ways and reading the color is much more difficult

You can not "have a fun" in English.

It's called "have fun". What is meant by that phrase is "did you have fun". The "did you" is implied.

Now, exactly WHY this is the case, why you do not refer to "fun" as "a fun" or "the fun", I have no idea. By the basic rules of English, you should be able to do that since "fun" is not a proper name and it is a thing. But that's the way we do it.

This is quite hard at first, but with a bit of practice, it becomes easy, what you need to do is not concintrate on the word, and just think about the colour.

i've seen and done the stroop test many times before, its a bit easier if you blur your image, making it harder for the words to become visable, so its easier to see only the color

The trick is to cross your eyes so the words are all blurry... or focus on sometimes other than the screen. Then you see only colors.

It shows a thought process and tells us about how the brain works. If you're not cheating and blurring your vision or something it is difficult for typical people to say aloud the color of the word and not the word itself.

It is actually how different parts of our brain visualize things we directly experience such as color and abstract concepts such as reading and words.
