ive got pavtube and when i try skipping to a different part of the file (say 20mins into the movie) mit wont work and often crashes, does it happen to anyone else, if i have a smaller file it works fine, i want files about 10gig to keep some quality. ive got a quadcore phenom @3.6ghz and nvidia gt460
@SmurfTube252 I suggest get the LG 8x read Blu ray burner or just ROM ($US 50) difference. If you want to save money for the same amount of performance, buy the internal blu ray drives as oppose to the external (assuming that you have a laptop and not a desktop). Internal drives are cheaper, and if you wanna use it on a laptop, get a SATA/IDE cable, power (10$) at amazon.
I am speaking out of experience as i have them and ripping blu rays and playing it on MPC-HC ... sweet.
@mishmosh2000 M2TS format play it on VLC or MPC. M2TS is the original Blu ray container. Rip it as it is and play it like it is. Although MKV is good, it is slightly compressed, thus, the quality is a little diminished. You must have a good video card on your PC to play m2ts.
@mishmosh2000 DVD Fab software, get the latest edition. so far the best coz it allows you to open as many applications and rip blu rays at the same time ( if you have more than one blu ray rom or burner)
@MidnightrambIer3760 I got that and tried it umpteen times and got nowhere, I have been trying to rip the blu ray as it is to my pc and watch it on my PC but it just comes up as al different folders and no matter what I use to try and play it, it is not happening. There does not seem to be any software as yet that will rip the blu ray the way it is on the disc to play t it on the PC. I have been trying to get it to work for over 2 weeks now, there just doesn't seem to be a way to do it.
P.S I have also tried the programme on this video as well, and this one just like every program wants you to rip it to a disc, I only want to have the Blu ray on my PC and play it as it is on the original disc, I have no idea why no software allows you to do that, I wish it would. I also got a file called an Iso file a couple of times nothing will play that either.
Can you rip special features from Blu-Ray?

@GreatestHooligan - What is the best container for playback? mkv? Also, do you recommend BestHD? Is it standalone (ie. no AnyDVD HD needed)?
