The majority of this movie didn't really frighten me, I'm hard to scare, but the final scene when the friend finds all the evidence of Josh's sadistic nature and the uncle hears Joshuas song...I got chills. It's a lot more disturbing because it's an actual child rather than a 33 year old woman with make-up (orphan), or a midget in a red rain coat (don't look now)

People keep comparing this film to the Orphan, and although there are obvious similarities, the two are completely different. Joshua isn't an orphan, nor is he an older man trapped in a youngster's body. I do like both films though, but if you have to compare this to anything, The Good Son would be more fitting.

This boy was dark, aloof, too self-possessed type. Kid in "The Good Son" was a total brat,kind that thinks it's fun to torture animals&bully little kids. He looked very naughty, but this kid looked sad. He's obsessed with "no one will ever love you", meaning himself. What did crazy Mom do to him when he was fussy baby? The second baby was an angel, but some infants are much fussier, w/ stomachaches, etc.crying is only way to say something's wrong. Mom only thought he won't shut up.
