Truly, this game is the spiritual successor to the corpse on wires that is the Kingdom Hearts franchise. I'm very much looking forward to one last go at this style of action rpg. (tldr: a true kingdom hearts 3 will never happen, but at we'll have versus XIII)

If they keep this game PS3 exclusive and it's as indepth and dark as this trailer, it will definitely become the best single-player game on the PS3. They might as well have just renamed this to XV considering how awesome it is. Perhaps SE is about to return to its golden-era style of games... we can only hope...

By FAR, the best game on PS3. I believe it! I can't find a single flaw in it. And I've watched the trailer about 15 times. If anything, the game BETTER to come out. XD

But seriously, it looks like Tetsuya Nomura isn't fucking around anymore. He's giving Final Fantasy a place in the hearts of both Western AND Eastern gamers alike. This game might even triumph over Mass Effect, Fallout AND Demon's Souls. I hope it stays a PS3 exclusive, though.

Completely agree that the music is very similar to KH. The city resembles The World that Never Was to me, and the darkness of the main character speaks to the compelling features of Organization 13. I always felt that adding Disney to a Square Enix game damaged its atmosphere and dialogue; whenever I played through Roxas or specifically Organization 13 content, I found myself more intwined with the game.

This should be Kingdom Hearts done right, and I am truly looking forward to it!

@FinalFantasyEdition really??? the concept is very much identical. even the command window matches that in KH. anyway i enjoy the new format with this final fantasy game. sometimes it just gets a little redundant selecting commands for each character instead of actually moving around and actually doin work. The fire spell in this game is kinda like KH when it spirals like that too.

this is final fantasy versus XIII, regardless of the original ff13, this game is a spin off such as final fantasy type-0 (originally named final fantasy agito XIII). all three games are set in the same world but at different timeline that we ourselves aren't aware exactly when each one happened.
