The reason the car drivers complain? Jealousy. I drive an Ebike, with a trail behind for my daughter. No registration, No insurance, No license fees. I ride on sidewalks rite up to her exit at school, pick her up, and we are home in ten minutes as opposed to a half hour.
It's the people who ride scooters like jack asses, flying in and out of traffic, and not like a respectful motorcycle driver. Scooters are not toys. and, those who miss use them make it VERY hard on the ones who do. Can't blame the cops for pulling over someone who's driving like a maniac, in a car, or, a scooter

And what are those of us with scooters who never got a title, and thus -cannot- register the bike supposed to do? Because of bad laws some just never give out titles for them! Can't sell it without the title.. apparently now can't ride it either!
Er no in CT u can ride a scooter with only a valid license as long as it's under 50cc's. And they do not need to be registered nor titled and u don't need a motorcycle license.
