History is written by the victors, & it doesn't always contain the truth. The Emperor of Rome accepted Christianity, & they ruled the world at the time, but in reality were in decline. That's when the Roman Catholic Church dominated Christian thinking, and ruled with an iron fist. All those manuscripts you speak of came from that period in time.

No, unforgivable is unforgivable. Unlike in christian theology, you keep all the sins you have, they dont go away by talking to a pastor in box. However, when judgement day comes God look st your sins AND your good deeds.If you have something known as "unforgivable" its a MAJOR blow to you, but that does not determine your position in paradise

You are correct, it was the hadith and not the Quran. I usually bunch them together to keep things simple, human error on my part.
Its not faith in Mohammad (pbuh), but faith in God. Praying is mandatory in Islam, Catholics (for example) are exempt because they did not embrace Islam, so God accepts their way of praying, as long as they are sincere.

In reality I lost interest in them when the truth entered my mind. History is written by the victors, & it doesn't always contain the truth. The Emperor of Rome accepted Christianity, & they ruled the world at the time, but in reality were in decline. That's when the Roman Catholic Church dominated Christian thinking, and ruled with an iron fist. All those manuscripts you speak of came from that period in time.

@johnthebookof . . . in reality it's quite different with GOD's last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). His companions recorded what he said, and also what he had done. This was done while he was alive, and then scholars analyzed & compared the different versions, to determine which were the most accurate.
Compare that with what the scholars say about the origin of the Christian Gospels, and the rest of the books in he New Testament, and come back when you are done.
