Jay was the one who approched Nas about comming to Def Jam. Jay was the one who approched Nas about doing a guest appearance on Hip Hop Is Dead, and to get Nas on Success. Jay has been mighty "friendly" to Nas since they squashed their beef. He may not really want to be Nas' best friend, but the situation warrants the line. Thats what battle tracks and diss lines are based on. Elaboration. Enough evidence is there to support the line, even if it isn't 100% true.
