Dont care what anybody says. Its a scooter. It scoots about. You sit on it with your little feet in the foot well. Its automatic. You dont need a motorbike license to drive it. Your little sister rides one and beeps the little horn. The riding dynamics, balance, power to weight ratio is in a completely different class, requiring a totally different skill set to ride it. This is classed as a motorcycle, the power-train, gear shift, engine placement, wheels etc. are all virtually the same as any other motorcycle. The reason it looks "different" is because it's on a modern under bone frame. Which makes it an under-bone MOTORCYCLE, NOT a scooter, not a moped. The reason there are so many dumb-asses on this video is because unfortunately, modern under bones have never been sold in the USA. So they never seen. Which is a bloody crime because they are awesome bikes.

This is not a vespa, it's a 4 or 5 gear motorbike, manual gearshift and automatic clutch, probably 150cc. With a vespa or scooter the feet rest in front of you. In a motorbike the left foot rests on the gearshift and the right lefts on the break. This bike can be confused with a "vespa" because it looks like a cross. however it's not a flat space like a scooter as there is still a neck. Morons. The riding position and technique is identical to any other motorbike with exception of the clutch. :)

@tooosweeet You can give it all the frills you like but that's a *spit* scooter. It may be a manual *spit* scooter but it's still a *spit* scooter. What engine or gearbox it has make no difference. A T-max is still a *spit* scooter - just a large one. Makes no difference where the controls are either. It's got a frame at the bottom, an engine at the back and plastic infront of your feet. Feet that are on plastic, not pegs. That's a scooter *SPIT*.

@hunghuge12 Actually you're wrong. In this motorbike your feet are NOT on plastic. They are on the gear shift like any other motorcycle. I have ridden this motorbike and traditional motorcycles, they drive exactly the same except for the clutch. IT's completely different from a scooter with a plastic bottom and no feet gear shift/pegs. On this bike the feet are on the side and on metal, not plastic. Look closer before you make yourself sound ignorant.

@hunghuge12 Your foot rests on a peg, with the gear shifts in front and behind. AKA, the standard shifting system. This style of motorbike is very respected and extremely popular. I've driven several yamaha's of this type and they are very fun to drive and smooth with a 4 cylinder engine, nice for day trips, city driving, and adventuring.

Unfortunately Yamaha America doesn't even sell this class of motorbikes so you have no idea what you're talking about.

I've seen two paddles on standard style motorcycles and they're very very common, so I don't know what hole you've been living in.
