Your tutorial explains a lot, but what do you do when you want to animate it? I already tried to use scanned images or even to draw something directly on the program, but when I set the bones, only the bones diagram moves. I mean, it doesn't twist or rotate any arn or leg. Can you help?

dude I can help. one you've placed your bones over your drawn character, you need to go into the vector layers and attach the points to the bones. My channel will be having it's own tutorials soon, this will be one. =] mail me if you need more help =]

I don't know how to paste pictures to Anime Studio 5... I bought the program and it doesn't have a render button ANYWHERE!!! And I Just want regular pictures or scanned pictures pasted, but don't know how... the Ctrl+V button doesn't work and there is no edit paste... :(

Anime Studio is not for traditional draw like other softs or like the traditional paper.

This software is the best thing for vectorize any character, make your poses lybrary, like Switch layer system, apply bones, or also in 6 version you can blending morphs. Everything is a 3D System technique applied in a 2D Software. And in my opinion maybe will has more future, specially for Animation Producers.

jessus is not more easy do it in paint, if you know the vector structure of the eye you can draw it easier, then pass it to the program

I guess if I want my characters to be drawn properly in Anime Studio I should just draw them on paper and scan the drawing and save it as  jpeg which I can later use as a reference for creating my character in Anime Studio. I might get Anime Studio instead of Toonboom Animate.

i got a copy of Anime pro 5 way back and i was not happy, however if you guys are then cool !

I have started work on a shirt film and i am using Toon Boom Animate it suit's my style and i can create the look i need, with Anime pro it would take me hours to add all the detail i need ! Check TOON BOOM !

The Japanese use Retas Pro to create 2D animation. I think some Southeast Asian Studios use Toonboom software too.

This is not a tutorial, this is tracing, tracing is not art.

Now if you were showing how to make your own anime eye without a reference or a photo to trace of off, then it would be a valid tutorial.

Now I know some people are not as talented as others and if you have no drawing skill that is perfectly fine. But then call your video, tracing tutorial anime studio 5, because your title implies you are going to do something from scratch without tracing material.

This tutorial just explains how to use tools in Anime Studio 5 to help users learn how they can combine techniques to recreate a base so they can apply them to future project without using a reference. If you are using the demo version, you may have limitations I'm not sure. But to answer your question, I use the full basic version ($50), and no I did not make that picture of Kagamine from Lucky Star I simply Imported it into the project and traced over it using Anime Studio's vector graphics tools to rebuild her left eye.

hoe do u make a movie longer than 75 frames?

1 of 2 ways: 1) File>Project Settings: Type in the desired amount of frames. 2) On the Timeline, scroll to the desired amount t of frames. Hold "Alt" and "Left Click" the number of the frame you want as the end frame. Hope this helped and best of luck.

I render all of my animations to Apple QuickTime(.mov) format for Highest Quality. Sorry for the video here being Low Quality, was using the Unregistered Version of Hypercam 2. Just got Camtasia Studio so my next tutorials will be of Higher Quality.

You can go to Edit>Copy/Edit>Paste

Ctrl+C(Copy) Ctrl+V(Paste) for vector objects

And to copy and paste object color information, press Copy/Paste in the Colors Pallet.
