I saw him live in Middelfart Denmark, and throughout the entire concert there were somebody who drew very deep breaths, and it was really annoying, it wasn't until the last song that we realised it was Andreas charging up for his vibrato's :D
Nope, it is a tear at 07:58 . Almost sure. Saw it on TV, and before he stated playing, he the story behind this piece, and said that it was very touching. :)
"If ever after I'm dead you hear someone whistling this tune on the Malvern Hills, don't be alarmed. It's only me." .... Edward Elgar ;) thanks for the note... was very placent read about it...
Andreas Brantelid was awarded "The Danish Crown Prince couple's Culture Prize 2009" and thanked with this exceptionel performance of Elgar's Cello Concerto. In addition to this he gave an extra number (Sarabande from Bachs 1st suite) which is no.4 in this playlist (that is... if playlist is chosen)

Thank you SO much!
Just perfection, and even far beyond that musically! Incredibly inspiring!
What else is there to say?

Did he cry or was that sweat?

Even after having answered Crismad that it could be a tear I must reconsider and conclude that 'the tear' in fact must be sweat.
Afterall... at this time he has played for half an hour in a warm concert hall with spotlights on him.

You could very well be right. I am sure Andreas is familiar with the fact that Elgar wrote this concert to honour a departed close friend in WW1.
