Sooooooooo...in terms of life on earth - what species kills out of pure stupidity? In other quadrants of the universe there are sentient life forms that witness human behavior and say, "hmm, homo sapiens, not evil, really, just stupid and cowardly...kind of evil by default."
Loki is cool. You feel bad for him because he's misunderstood. He's trying to be a worthy son and he's just misunderstood, his brother Thor was favored him, so because you feel bad for him you don't want him to be stop by Thor but he creepy and twisted and up to no good you want Thor to stop him. Lol
great vid guys but I'm gonna have to stop you there on Thanos. Thanos while evil he acts evil out of love because he's in love with Death. He'll kill the entire populace of the universe if necessary to gain Deaths love.
I can't believe they forgot about apocalypse he is the strongest mutant of all times and maybe be the strongest villian of all times how can they forget him.
Thanos of Eternals was really just mad cuz he was the uglyest guy on Titan. haha hes just as misunderstood as Galactis. And i would like to add that Hulk poodle was a very stupid villan.
hum does it matter who did it first? or does it matter who does it better? Like does it matter who started a fight or who finished it? Well Hey it is kind of funny how people sometimes say that if you love DC comics, you must hate Marvel and vice versa, I say "if Bob Kane and Stan lee can be good friends why can't we?
As far as more sinister, it took writers like Geoff Johns, Morrison, and Moore too bring these villians up too snuff. I mean Dr. Light was a joke prior to Indenty Crisis nothing about him was inherently interesting it took a "mind swipe" for that.
Heres the thing I completely enjoy DC in general, but I know before 1963 a great majority of DC's characters where camp, after Lee/Kirby someone in DC editorial took note.
Not saying he's not the evilest, Joker holds that crown hands down. What I'm saying is simply put, Marvel did it first.
DC had a good 30-40yrs before Atlas became Marvel Comics in that time you'd have thought somebody, anybody with half a wit of forethought would have took the chance too write solid stories/characters that didn't play for children. Stan Lee was comptemplating leaving comics and figured he's try too make comics he'd read opposed too kids and manchilds.
Oh and for every Hulk Poddle you got Bat-mite, Quisp, Bizarro, Rainbow raider, Cap'n Cold, Forever people, Jimmy Olson, Aquaman, Multiverses, Krypto, Penguin, LOSH, Misfit, DC is fun but lame in general.
wo wo wo that is so not true, The DC villians are way more sinister, I mean Just look at the Joker's, Luthor's, Hush's, and almost any of the other batman Villian's and you will see that they are some twisted people
That is pretty much all you can name and as I said it was only after Marvel brought the "grey area" with the FF did DC try to punch up their characters. Seriously DC had plenty of opportunities prior too Marvel's rise too bring nuance to their characters.
but they really didnt have much competition right? sure they're were other companies but i guess business was good with all the products they were releasing so they had no reason to change. then came stan lee and everything changed. they had a bigger competition now and they wised up and and started to change their products- it may have taken a long time but they do have better and more recognizable villians . what do u think?
Also remember it was Stan Lee & Kirby who really changed superheroes from pure camp/kiddie fare to trying to make them relateable and have some kind of themes and sense of reality you said it yourself Marvel plays in the grey area and as soon as Fantastic Four hit big, DC started copying Marvel by trying to bring angst and realistic themes to their heroes, before Superman was just a boyscout bully with little or no nuance then DC took notes from Marvel by playing up the 'lonely alien outsider'
Campy, DC is far more campy aside from elseworlds and vertigo the mainline DCU is utterly camptastic they live in fake cities and have sidekicks, their villians aside from Joker are laughable for the most part. Most Marvel heroes have some kind of meaning of theme behind them from Hulks rage and the misuse of science to Ironman a drunk guy in essentially the most advanced tool of war, Magneto in the holocaust to Cap'n America being a symbol of a country he barely fits in.
Dude that is so incorrect, DC is extremely goofy from Cap'n Marvel and his villians to Bat-mite and Cosmic treadmills and Bizarroworld and Krypto and sidekicks like Robin DC is by far way goofier. Marvel on the other hand has it's goofy moments and characters it's mostly played straight and they live in a world closer to ours, they play with themes the X-men are basically a comic version of the civil rights movement etc..
its science fiction. while some of the grittier stuff is good its really depressin. i wouldnt call it goofy, i'd say it was weird.i was recently readin some frank miller stuff and it was really depressing then i read morrison's superman and it really was refreshin and high spirited and fun. so while marvel may be more realistic DC offers a chance to escape into fantasy,: it may not be everyone's perference but its still necessary.
i love DC comics so i felt the need to defend them.
