It's difficult comparing them. Cancellara is the man to make a small gap and then go for it solo with maybe another 15km to go, the time trial specialist that he is. It was impressive how he got the double of Flanders and Roubaix in 2010. But Gilbert prefers an arrival on the top of a climb (or close to the top) like in Liege or the Amstel Gold Race, he just awaits his chance like a true predator, then he says KABOOM and the race is over, the acceleration he has is just spectacular.

@karldiesen No, I think he doesn't know it himself, the belgian press says he doesn't follow a specific schedule. He doesn't train on heart rate, watt-profile,.. all on the feeling. He said in an interview he doesn't know it by heart himself, so probably only the Lotto-team will know it for sure.
