  • R.I.P to the Macho Man

  • 3...count them 3 atomic leg drops?? The referee could have given him Bundy's five count because nobody is getting up after that! War Supertape!!

  • HERE IS A MIND BLOWER... ANYONE REMEMBER THE MOVIE THAT CAME OUT WITH HULK HOGAN AND ZEUS??? "NO HOLDS BARRED"??? IT WASN'T JUST THE NAME OF THE FEUD/EVENT THERE WAS AN ACTUAL MOVIE THAT CAME OUT TOO!!!

  • @JEFFCLEVANDR Rip 'em! Yeah!

  • The Hulkster put the ref's hand up!!

  • Comment removed

  • zeus should've kicked his ass

  • too bad sherri didnt get an atomic drop in this match

  • That was 3 great wrestlers and 1 great manager making up for one stupid and untrained never-was and tearing down the damn house!

  • "3 great" wreslers?????? More like ONE great wrestler and 1 great manager and 1 overated no-talented wrestler and 1 ass kissing wrestler and one stupid and untrained never-was!

  • in your opinion who's what? Because in my book Savage was the one that pretty much carried the match he is the only one in the match that takes risk and bumps, while the other just stay grownded

  • Exactly,Randy Savage has more talent in the tip of his finger than all three of those losers combine!

  • @gtz1975 bullshit. Savage was an awesome wrestler, but you have you be a queer dumb fuck not to realise Hogans controling the crowd emotions. Another thing, Savage couldnt wrestle a match without scripting to the very last detail and new drew a penny without being in some form of storyline with Hogan, so I'd say Hogans ability to draw money and lift a crowd off their feet is more valuable that doing a elbow drop and wearing funky capes.

  • @ianhitman All I'm saying is that Randy Savavge was a way better wrestler than Hulk Hogan ever was. I never said that Savage was more popular than Hogan.Savage knows how to control the crowd. One example was when he and Steamboat stole the show from Hogan at Wrestle Mania III. More people in that building were problaby talking about the Savage/Steamboat match than the Hogan/Andre match.

  • @gtz1975 are u kidding? Andre vs Hogan may not have been anything other than a few moves between two immobile big men, but it went on to draw 33milion on NBC, drew a rematch the following years Mania and spawn the first Survivor Series and the first SummerSlam based off rematches between the pair in some fashion. People were dying to seee another Hogan vs Andre match. If you think more people were talking about the Steamboat match, i have some tractor engines i'd love to see you in my garage.

  • @ianhitman the first Survivor Series was done to spite the NWA's first payperview Starrcade'87 Chi-town Heat. All I remember the next day after WM III everyone was talking about Steamboat/Savage and very little about Hogan/Andre.In all fairness Andre's health was not 100% at the time so he's ability was very limited.Oddly enough after WM III both Savage and Steamboat became World Heavyweight Champions.

  • @gtz1975 Survivor Series was created to go against Starrcade but the WWF pulled out a Team Hogan vs Team Andre main event which was a mega success that even WWF werent expecting.i never said it was the reason it was created. it was the reason it was successful though. And seriously: if you think very little people were taking about Hogan and Andre, u must be insane. they were the two biggest stars in the business. Hogan-Andre drew 33 million on nbc a year later, so obviously the demand was there.

  • @ianhitman I'm NOT saying for one second that Hogan isn't popular wrestler. All I'm saying is that Randy Savage was(or is pending upon if he's officiallly retired or not) a far better wrestler than Hulk Hogan ever was(or is pending upon once again if he's offically retired or not.)I'll admit that Hogan drew far more people than Savage, even though Savage was definatly quite over himself. If you REALY believe that Hogan was a better wrestler than Savage, I have some swamp land in NJ to sell to you!

  • @gtz1975 I agree with you - Randy Savage was a much better wrestler and far more athletic than Hogan. Hogan, however, was far more popular and a better entertainer than Savage.

  • @ianhitman

When ANYONE can get 33+ million ppl to watch any kind of wrestling event on NBC, then they can be 'better' than Hogan. It's PREDETERMINED! And no one was bigger or more influential than Hulk Hogan. When people think of wrestling, they think of Hogan. Not Stunning Steve Austin, not Ric Flair, not John Cena, not Randy Savage...NO ONE. Hogan is the guy. ALL this smark talk about 5-star matches and work...please. It's not a real effin' sport. Brad Rheingans would work...did anyone care?

  • @trainer305 you have zero idea what your talking about. Savage and Hogan carried the match. if Savage had the same match with Mr. Fuji, it would have sucked cock. Hogans ability to work the crowd and create emotion through his storytelling made the match. If you think otherwise, your wrong. Guess what? Its all a bunch of fake oily men pretending to fight, so in ring ability means fuck all. ability to get a crowd on their feet brawling with a stiff like Zeus is what makes Hogan so great.

  • 2 greats 1 so-so and 1 great manager. Beefecake was never great

  • That was a better match than any I've seen with John Cena, Big Show, or Randy Orton.

  • Zues had no wresting abilty whatsoever. It really shows in this match. Macho Man did all the high risk manuevers and carried the match for Zeus.

  • Randy was used to carrying matches

  • I never knew about this match. I taught they only fought in Summerslam

  • I remember this. there really no ppv, unless you were close circuit tv. SO we had to wait for it to come out. it was a huge thing seeing hogan doing the 3 leg drops on Zeus. good times

  • It was called "No Holds Barred: The Match, The Movie". They aired the movie on PPV and right after the movie was the steel cage match.

  • right after survivor series 89

  • From Wikipedia: "Despite his reputation as an unstoppable monster, Zeus left the company having never won a match (Zeus did not have any preliminary matches in his WWF run)."

  • That's the ridiculous thing about Zeus. He was an "unstoppable monster," but whenever he wrestled in a match someone stopped him.

  • Hulk Hogan was Number 1 in the 1991 Pro Wrestling Illustrated 500 and oddly enough Zeus was Number 500 in the 1991 Pro Wrestling Illustrated 500.

  • zeus got knocked the fuck out

  • What a horrible storyline and an even more horrible match....

  • omg i remember this. feelin' pretty old right now

  • Agree!

  • Ahhh he quit wrestling after this. No loss as he was very poor and akward in the ring. He was cool on The Dark Knight though

  • He was the President in Fifth Element, a bully in Friday, and played a lot of other roles.

  • The fifth element was right we would see a black president

  • Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake (The Mega-Maniacs)

  • you used to be able to pin, just like you would just walk out the door. They changed it after a while to make it more entertaining.

    Fantastic match though!!

    When wrestling was still entertaining.

Now days you can see how fake it is

  • THANK GOD the crappy Zeus angle was over after this match.

  • no shit sherlock dropped 3 legdrops on him

  • Nice match. Rest in peace Sherri. :D

  • i thought pinning the other wrestler wasn't considered a win in a cage match

  • „No Holds Barred: The Movie / The Match

  • love how finkle says your winners Brutus the Barber beefcake and HULKKKKK HOOOOOOGAN!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This match was GREAT! It should be known that Hogan and Tiny (Zeus) Lister were actually friends who came up with this angle themselves.

  • for a guy that was knocked out he left the ring pretty fast one sec hes getting pinned the next.... where did he go?!

  • man I have been trying to find footage of this for years, that was the end of zeus I think?

  • until he returned in WCW around 1995 as Z-Gangsta for some triple tower cage match w/ the Dugeon of Doom vs. Savage/Hogan

  • Dont forget the horseman too they were in it too.

  • I'm just as confused as you are Ankssss, I was like "Wahh How'd He win w/o escaping???"

  • this was such a great match, everyone including zues did awesome

  • Brutus the Barber ruled!

  • yes...no...yes...no?

  • zeus i remember when he played in friday as debo

  • zeus was debo!!!!!!!

  • And the guy that threw the Joker's detonator out the window.

  • Yes, thank you! I thought I was going crazy.

  • @megaman2160

Yeah and Zeus also played the President in Fifth Element lol.

  • Didn't he say both wrestlers had to escape the cage. That's the only way to win. How did Hogan win by pinfall?

  • cause he's Hogan...u know

  • then again at the very beginning of the match Ventura did say the ref was only there to make pinfalls

  • well it was in the wwf wwe is different they probly took the pinfall out

  • That zeus was horrible fuckin horrible

one of the worst wrestlers ever
