  • Thanks for the good help, you made my day, an 81 year old retired electrician who can play nothing but loves to listen and now i can string our classic guitar very well with your help

  • @TrumpetsAreAwesome Thanks for the sincere feedback. Made my day, too!

  • By the way my nut falls out!!!

  • its helpful.

  • I have a classical guitar can I put new strings but I want to put metal string Can I do that because when I buy my guitar have nylon strings? so nylon or metal string for cassical guitars...??

  • @coolcuate, Never use steel strings on a classical guitar. You could potentially damage your bridge, and more importantly your neck. Most classical guitars do not have a truss rod, and the higher tension of a steel string could really warp your neck over time.

  • Very helpful. By the way your voice kind of sounds like Ed Helms.

  • great help!

    tnx

  • hey great video!

one thing i had a problem with is how you put the string at the top

  • I am using my 2006 Córdoba 45R in this video. It has a very powerful sound with extra hard tension strings and great, full bass end.

  • The firmer end is the finished end. Sorry about the confusion. The looser winding make the string more springy at the unfinished end.

  • can i use acoustic strings on classical?

  • hey andy, Thanks for the great instructions, out of interest, may i ask what brand of strings you use? i have just ordered some adaggio, i have just bought my first classical guitar g-231 II yamaha. kind regards gary

  • Gary, I use D'Addario Pro Arte Extra-Hard Tension Strings. I have a cedar Cordoba and I feel like a get a lot of power out of them. I've never used adaggio strings, but I also have a Yamaha guitar in that series. They are nice guitars. Mellow sound, good for playing around the house.

  • thanks very much i did it, u helped me much

    thank you!

  • this is very helpful thank you!!!

  • Really great.

  • you are the best ... thanks

  • beats all other restringing vids on youtube

  • To each his own. I'm glad I could help.

  • Awesome instructional video dude.. I just used it with this method and it turned out great, despite it being the most difficult restring in my whole life (first time restringing a classical)

    A+!

  • I'd be happy to add an annotation to clear things up. What exactly was unclear to you?

  • nevermind i have already got it cleared up, it was nice of you to offer, i will rate u a 5 again

  • Thank you all for your positive feedback. I'm glad you have found this video to be helpful. I will probably do some more instructional videos like this sometime soon. Any requests?

  • BEST RESTRINGING VIDEO EVER.

  • Hey and thanks, this video is the most helpful I have found so far as I decided I wanted to start off playing guitar again.

  • Thanks. That's very helpful. Always had problems but hopefully...no more!

  • Thanks for the help! but you explain how to tell the dfference between the finished end and the non-finished end of the first string... but you didn't say which end to put in there!
