  • look at May It Be by This Lady.. Its More Beatuiful...

  • The original Japanese is about life, and was originally written for an animation before "Spirited Away" but that animation did not come into reality. The title "Always with Me" comes from an English translation of the original. Source: Nausicaa fan Web.

This English version shortened the song and turned it into a love song

Even from "Hayley Sings Japanese Songs", album 1, the voice is sweet, but could articulate the consonsants stronger, like what we have learned in singing classes in school.

  • i want this song to be my wedding song!

  • I never liked this song, honestly, but now that I hear it again, and this chick singing it, I'm like.

    damn.

    beautiful.

  • so cute! angelic :)

  • My god such a tantalizing voice...She sings with such beauty...

  • The pronunciation is okay... but the lyrics are bad

  • I love this chick's voice, but she needs to learn how to pronounce words so you can understand them, instead of losing breath at the beginning or end or middle..

  • @KairuHakubi Mostly Hayley just has a awful habit of cutting off at the end of a phrase, whether she has breath or not. I think you're hearing that paired with how soft and delicate she's trying to sing. As for her pronunciation, I think that's just her New Zealand (Kiwi) accent... but yeah, there's room for improvement ;)

  • I really like this version, but I definitely prefer the japanese.

  • better than bieber

  • @snowblazer12 no duh.

  • @PeacfulChaos9 your face

  • i never knew that there were other versions , lol

  • I miss Spirited Away. T^T

  • This song never fails to depress me. HAKU and CHIHIRO! Why couldn't they just be together? T.T

  • @alexbrigino cuz one of them is a fucking god!

  • @alexbrigino

Because Chihiro is 10 and Haku is a lot older than her? Seriously what the fuck is wrong with you?

  • @FuryoftheSound Haku is twelve in boy form.

  • @FuryoftheSound Whoa, whoa. Slow down there. There's no reason to get all agressive. It's just a story.

And also, Chihiro falling in love with Haku is what happened. But it was innocent love, and Chihiro didn't understand it. But it's not because of that. Haku is a spirit. He doesn't belong in her world, and she doesn't belong in his.

There. Problem solved. No reason to bite someone's head off for making a comment, 'cause it looks really immature.

  • i love this song its so beautiful thank u for uploading this song :D

  • beautiful...

  • Such a beautiful voice for such a wonderful song. This is actually a song that I first heard on a Japanese anime called 'Spirited Away'. I love when one can translate, and translate well, a song so everyone can enjoy the meaning and feeling behind it. Hayley Westernra has a gift that can move mountains.

  • she has a beautiful voice

  • Haley Westenra singing a spirited away song :D

lovely singing and the translation flows well though i'm not sure if its perfect in terms of meaning. still very happy to hear this

  • lalalala... dododo.... dadada...

beautiful... I close my eyes and she sounds like those Disney's princess singing...

  • Every time this young lady sings she cast a radiant shadow of beauty and talent.Take care ADonovan43

  • I was amazed this rendition was actually really good (Normally English Renditions suck). Hayley's voice so fits for this song!

    Love both versions!

  • WOW she is BEAUTIFUL and and she has a Beautiful VOICE

  • does anyone know where i can find these lyrics??? i cant fidn them anywhere :(

    x

  • @kittytv The English lyrics are in the description. Or were you looking for the Japanese?

  • @lovelycelticopera ohh thakyou =D i wasnt looking good enough

    x

  • I wish I knew a good place to download this.

  • I love this song but prefer this version. I like the timing and her voice is so sweet.

  • your good, but this is blasphemy! some songs should never be sung in other languages. this, in my opinion is one of them.

again, great singer, but this is blasphemy.

  • I like the japanese version better but this one is still pretty good! its really pretty

i like the violin solo :D

  • an angle on the earth....saving many souls

  • Oh my god! I've listened to her music for a while now and I'm pretty surprised I didn't notice this earlier! BEAUTIFUL!

  • Absolutely lovely from Hayley. One of my fave singers performing one of my fave soundtrack music from one of my fave animated films - WOW!! Is this particular Hayley album only available in Japan?

  • @masquerro Hayley Sings Japanese Songs 1 and 2 were Japan-only releases. You can purchase them on amazon but the imports are a bit pricey! I prefer the first Japanese album with the black cover to the second. Both are great pop albums.

  • @lovelycelticopera thanks for the info=)

  • Very nice.

  • If i had to describe something like this song, it would be a delicate blossom.

  • although i like the japanese one better, her voice is so awesome~!!

    very soothing XD

  • This seems more Haydn actually, but she has a great voice.

  • 磨きあげられた大理石のような

    美しい声

  • Wow! I didn't know there was an English version of this song. Its quite nice!

  • I <3 the way she sings the song Always on Lilo and stitch !!

  • Her voice is so beautiful. I keep playing it again and again.

  • great! her voice is the prettiest ever... plus I LOVE her dresses!! where did you get the pics?

  • she sings just like one of my friends :) Cool ;D

  • Wow she has a great voice. It's cool to here this song in english though my favorite remains the original Japanese.

  • I love it. The only thing is she translated the title wrong... it's "Always With Me." Tis ok, however. Her voice makes up for it. :D

  • The real translation of "itsumo nando demo" is "Always, no matter how many times", k :)

  • @Witch1993 - I took two years of Japanese in high school so I have a basic understanding- though far from fluent. I'm not sure how the English title came about but on the HSJS2 CD only the original Japanese title is used. I've only noticed "Many Times Always" used on Hayley fansites and I find it's meaning is closer to the Japanese meaning as connielove93 has pointed out.

  • Haha, ok. Idk, I was just going off of the english title that "Spirited Away" gave. Many apologies!

  • This and Tsubomi are my 2 favs. :)

  • both are equally good

  • I love the original song along with the anime, I love Hayley singing, and somehow I knew she would cover this song.

My ears got used to the original Japanese version but this is good enough to make me cry for some reason.

  • I love Hayley Westenra before, now and then. She has the what we call angelic voice. First time i heard her in pure, she captured my heart until now. I cannot wait to hear her more new songs. It's like a new chapter for me. Hayley Westenra forever...!!!

  • This isn't really my style of music, but she has such a God-given angelic voice. You can't help but just stop and listen once she sings that first note. So soothing. When she has children some day they won't have any trouble sleeping when she sings lullabies to them.

  • この歌をヘイリーに歌ってもらいたかったので今とても満足です。ポスティング有難う!!。

  • even tho i dont understand a single word from the japanese one i still think its better i dont knwo

  • Such a marvelous job for Hayley. I find the notes hard to sing because of the length of each. I'm amazed Hayley can do it. Must agree that her rendition and the original (Spirited Away) are both great.

  • I love both this and the orginal. Her voice perfectly matches this song.

  • Beautiful! I'm always excited to find new music by hayley.
