With most songs, you listen. But some rare songs refuse to be merely listened to. They demand your attention and you get lost in the beat. This for me is one of those rare songs. Everytime I hear it, it gives me goosebumps. Daaaaaamn, I love music. lol
Choreography isn't very attractive, not as much as the red-headed lady, anyway. It saddens me much when music videos fail to live up to the quality of the songs they're built upon. Such is the case here - a unique, seductive & atmospheric song turned into a dull, meaningless idea of exposed legs and tedious choreography.
The music industry died in 1980. It is now being run totally by business people who have only one things on their mind, which is money and status. They are NOT music lovers. They could care less about quality of music, quality of voices, or even creative people. This is just watered-down entertainment for people. It is only an entertainment industry selling entertainers. Anyone who knows music really well, not commericalism, knows this. It has always been a business but this corrupt.
Alright enough is enough. I've been hearing this amazing voice on the radio the last few weeks and so i of course felt compelled to look up Florence & Then Machine on YouTube. And what do i find? The worst music videos I think I've ever seen. WTF? Great music though....just stop with the one piece leotards and flailing around!
Donna Summer is a much better singer than Florence. Her vocal quality is superior. The music industry died in 1980. Donna Summer has a very strong voice and sings softly too.

Hey everyone, we have to listen to people who are high quality music and give them recognition. Van Der Graaf Generator is a great band that I just found. I love them! We need to get music on a higher level. I want to up my level of production and make my music as close to these people as possible. Right now I am not on their level, maybe I can get their band on my records. We need to have higher standards in music so do I.

@CHetheri3099 This isn't a pop or hip hop album, not everyone needs to dance like Lady Gaga. Maybe you don't realize it but she puts a lot of metaphors into her music and videos. In this case you can kind of see the underlying Pagan theme in her songs and videos with the lungs album. In this video she's doing a lot of traditional Pagan dances.
I think this song would have suited better coming from, "Ceremonials." It suits the general theme better, I think. Nonetheless, this song is one of her best.

This song is raw, both emotionally and musically, better suited right where it is, on her debut effort. I've always thought that this song sounds like what having an anxiety attack sounds like. I just found the COOLEST songs, by a band called, "Van Der Graaf Generator"
It is called, Emperor in His War Room and Aquarian, Necromancer. He is a genius. These geniuses from the Progressive era are influencing my music to take music to the next level of passion. This man is a genius!

i always see comments of people who dislike her videos. and i completely understand why not everyone likes the videos, some of them really aren't that good. but people need to keep in mind that Florence is an artist, her dancing is almost an interpretation of the songs, and some times it's not the best but she is doing something different than what most people do in their videos. she is expressing individualism.
that's my OPINION. not all feel that way, good, life would be boring if we did.

I prefer listening to the song, "Emperor in the War Room," by the band, Van Der Graaf Generator. Why you ask? They are much more creative, innovative and inspiring. Flo is a bit dry for my taste. I just found the COOLEST songs, by a band called, "Van Der Graaf Generator"
It is called, Emperor in His War Room and Aquarian, Necromancer. He is a genius. These geniuses from the Progressive era are influencing my music to take music to the next level of passion. This man is a genius!
His lyrics are also genius. All the rest of my favorites are also geniuses. I HATE the music industry today. it is a big suck. Sorry if I don't share your excitement with todays new bores.

They have no FLUTE PLAYERS like the band Traffic and Jethro Tull and Van der Graaf Generator, no improvizational musicians like Steve Winwood, no guitar gods like Robert Fripp, they have sterile harps, lame keyboards, boring guitarists. They have no great saxophone players who are innovative like David Jackson of Van Der Graaf. There is nothing there, and no warm voices. No sitars. Boycott.

i always see comments of people who dislike her videos. and i completely understand why not everyone likes the videos, some of them really aren't that good. but people need to keep in mind that Florence is an artist, her dancing is almost an interpretation of the songs, and some times it's not the best but she is doing something different than what most people do in their videos. she is expressing individualism.
that's my OPINION. not all feel that way, good, life would be boring if we did.
