I taught myself to read and write Khmer, and I find it quite logical and easy. flashcards, flashcards, flashcards. Thai was a little harder because of the tone rules and marks, but after Khmer, it was a lot easier because of the similarities. After a couple of months, I'm pretty fast at writing both. Love Khmer the most, though. Braw-jia-jon Khmai #1!

Well, បងស្រឡាញ់អូន actually means (older person) love (younger person). Sometimes, the guy isn't the older one, so simply put, it means "I (older person) love you (younger person)." It's just that Khmer culture always prefers the man to be older than the woman. Yeah...agree with it or not, it's like that most of the time.

I never used LO. Instead, I use LAW. Somdech Chuon Nath litterature has more accurate writing.
