thank you very iformative, i hurt my lower back several weeks ago, exactly in the same location as your patient, keep putting the heating pad on it but it seems to reocurr, obviously i need a realignment, thank you again
is it safe for my boyfriend to attempt to do this for me? My hip is killing me from working so hard every day at the store I work at and I just need it to stop! Thanks.
@MistyMieMe , It would be safer if you do it on your own..lay down on your either side ..stretch the leg you are resting on straight, the one on top will be folded at knee height, then still facing up force the folded leg to try to touch floor while slightly looking the opposite way and keeping upper body straight looking up to ceiling..good luck
A baby does not come through your pelvis. Wtf is he talking about. A baby come through the birth canal which is composed of the uterus cervix and vagina. I doesnt pass through your pelvis. This is sad.
@Thorvius hard to say as my back was already hurt! Did it help would be a better question and the answer would be absolutely - I had hurt my SI joint and my back looked bent or twisted! Seen the chiropractor twice now and lots lots better! If you think you need it I'd say give it a go! Hope that helps!
@jalinapesreturns Wow, I bet you felt tons better afterwards. I'm 20 years old, and recenlt a few days ago, my lower back started hurting seriously bad, I've also been noticing that my right leg is slightly shorter than my left leg, i've been so damn scared it's something serious, and also my back starts to hurt so bad when I stand up for long periods of time, I can't even workout, or run anymore like I always do untill the pain. I'm definatly concidering seeing one of these.
It's amazing to me how ignorant people are when it comes to Chiropractic Care. You people are just stupid really; the ones that bash Chiropractors. Medical doctors and prescriptions drugs do far more damage then Chiropractic.
I'm confused, because it appeared to be the same adjustment for both sides, but one side moved bak and the other side moved forward. Am I missing something?
I am interested in Chiro but I have yet to hear real testimony of people helped by Chiropractic treatments. The few people I know who underwent these adjustments spent thousands of dollars with No noticeable results.
@dogcom I have seen 3 doctors, one an orthopedic surgeon, someone else (forgot), and a chiropractor. it was the chiropractor i tried after the other two and ultimately was the person who could get me walking again. my chiropractor charges only $25 a visit if i pay cash, less than the co-pay should i choose to use my insurance. no chiropractor should be charging thousands, that sounds like a scam to me. I think i pay a few hundred a year total with all my visits. good luck!
@weidertc well here in Singapore people pay US$70 - $110 per visit. If you don't mind I'd like to know a little more about yourself, you condition and the treatments.
@dogcom wow that's steep. i have torn or damaged ligaments around my sacroiliac joint. the doc says of all his patients with my condition, i'm one of the worst. when it's bad, i can't even walk, or get out of or into bed. after a few months of treatment (every day at first, then once a week after 3 weeks), i can then do yoga and go for a run. its not enough though, so im considering prolotherapy or something else to complement it, or it will just come back if i don't go back regularly
Physiotherapy & Acupucture! Having my hips done as well! No popping or cracking! Chiropractor's!? Nope! Fucked me up in the first place! Few sessions at the physio's! No push & shove all in one go! like at the chiropractor's!! Just gentle pressure,in the right places! What if that lady, had lower disc problems! That's what I had,& the chiropractor,still did the movement on my hips! even though I was in pain! Numbness. down my leg! Never again!!
@Ricardo20609 I am sorry you had a bad experience. I am glad you did have relief. I am all for natural remedies and cures and it seems you found one that worked for you. Just to let you know not all people in all professions are the same (attorney, MD, dentist, teacher etc). It seems you're jaded by all chiropractors? Like in all professions there are good and others that don't cut it. You found another avenue that helped you.I am glad you got the help.
@TheLyfeHersh I think a Chiropractor's malpractice is FAAAAAR below any medical doctor's malpractice annual insurance. Meaning risks are lower statistically from taking a drug/medication than getting a "procedure". If your 17 and insure your sport bike vs a dude that 47 and the insurance co has a lower premium for the older dude? Why would that be? Less likely to cause harm or damage (ie. a claim).
I recently started longboarding, i push with my right leg, one day after doing 1 hour or longboarding up and down a hill (the up hill may have done this to me), i woke up and had pain in my lower discs and in my right buttock and shooting pain from lower back to upper leg (back side). stretching and panadol helps but can't walk for more than 30 mins, i have been doing a lot of sports and feels strange that i have been taken down because of this. help!
i've been seeing a chiro for this exact reason but they have been using this hydrolic pin gun device (supposedly is more effective then using hands). Idk but my hip keeps coming out of place and it's starting to really fucking piss me off
I had a chiropractor adjust me when I wasn't in position and I have had numbness and tingling in my left leg for 2 years straight. It's a constant pinching, tingling and numbness feeling.
I had an epidural while in labor and my anesthesiologist had to feed the needle twice because he went too far left the first time. It is 9 months later and I have numbness and tingling in my upper back on my left side from my shoulder blade down to my lower back and every once in a while my right side.
Thanks for explaining the Sacroiliac. I injured mine giving birth to my son 6 years ago and I have been to the Chiropractor many times. It always feels better for a few days and then it starts hurting again. It is both sides and makes the front of my hip ache as well as spots on my butt and my lower back. I am so tired of it. I have also been to Gen pract. I have had shots in my back and been on muscle relaxers and pain meds. To tell you the truth the pain meds only take the edge off.
@easydoesit777 hes not a perv... and your intelligence is clearly below a 3rd grader's because he went through years of school, and i bet you're like 10 years old you dumb internet geek... you will probably be a garbageman that earns 15% of what a chiropractor makes so keep hating because he is laughing in his money
Very interesting!! I always wondered why my chiropractor would twist me,lol. I always just figured it was something to do with the hips/low back, but now I know. Thank you for a great video.
I find the division between "doctors" and "chiropractors" interesting. One would think that the two groups would work together for the better of the patient. Of course many believe that chiropractors are interested in treating and curing the root of the problem. Doctors are interested in treating the symptom(s) thus keeping the patient forever addicted to drugs thus making shareholders of pharmaceutical companies very wealthy
chiropractic is not about back and neck pain, its about protecting your nervous system- you know, the system that allows you to live, the sytem so important that god incased it bone. if you have a bone putting pressure on the nerve which can cause pain, but more importantly it can stop your body from function properly. chiropractic saved me from having a hysterectomy. but most wouldnt make that connection. drug free healing from with in
At least chiropractors don't look at you like your a drug addict when you tell them you have major lower back pain. Doctors need to get off there high horses and quit mutilating people's backs into something that is irreversibly damaged. see a chiropractor first try out multiple chiropractors if you must. talk to you friends find one that makes results. but never I say never go under the knife unless you have broken your back.
@swagbucksgirl your a troll. Bucks suck. doctors tend to be stuck up cocky assholes anyway. and the doctors probably laugh at you when you think u know what youre talking about.pffft a nurse
@swagbucksgirl I'm highly respectful of modern medicine, and still can't stand attitudes like yours.
My father had a moderate but healable back injury, but was instantly assure he could be "cured" under the knife, a decision that has had him in constant pain and in and out of hospitals for 24 years now. Imagine if someone had tried to let him HEAL first, rather than shoving to slice their way through flesh, causing irrepairable harm. The arrogance of medical staff is sometimes atrocious.
@DeadlyChinchilla wow. everyone is so sensitive to what i said. i never commented on how i feel about chiropractic care. i simply shared the opinion of the surgeons i work with. A good amount of surgeons are asses. I apologize for hurting anyone's feelings. No need to continue to the issue.
@swagbucksgirl People are sensitive because many have stories of arrogant medical types. Then you post comments about medical staff laughing at people like this guy who, even if you don't respect his field, probably believes he is helping people. And those people believe he is helping them, and sometimes this is probably true, however non-medical it is.
I'm not even a fan of chiropraction, but I'm not so high and mighty to look down on people seeking relief as so many "real" doctors laugh.
@swagbucksgirl It isn't even that people are mad at you, but you have to understand why people are angry.
I myself encountered doctor after doctor who swept my concern under the rug. I was accused of "doctor shopping" in my search for a proper diagnosis, called a drug seeker to my face (despite not even asking for them) & it took until I was 26 for someone to put a name to my issue & tell me it wasn't degenerative.
So yes, people are "sensitive." Being dismissed does that to a person.
This guy has taken the time to create this presentation to help and inform people. If you for what ever reason don't believe in the effectiveness of chiropractic, then don't use it. There is no reason to post derogatory comments. You only make yourself look like an ASS-WIPE.
The way he adjusted the sacro-illam jonint looked like the proper and best way i have seen. Most chiropracters i have seen have you in the same position but they jump on you from the side and the only thing i feel going back in place is the bones in the middle of the back not the sacrum-illam joint.
Thank you for taking your time to educate and explain in detail this adjustment, Dr. Echols. I address you as that because you have earned it in the time you have spent in post graduate education and the years of tuition money you have spent to help people. I am completely appalled by the hecklers and low class derogatory comments in this section. I feel sorry for those thugs. Probably nothing better to do than vent and be jealous. Kudo's for you to put yourself out there!
I have had the same treatment at my chiropractic clinic, it really helps. Please stop passing cheap and vulgar remarks. You too would try this treatment if you were in pain!
The term 'doctor' shouldn't have to refer to a physician. It just means that someone has completed a thorough education on a particular topic. It shouldn't be legally protected.
The term "medical doctor" should be legally protected.
Why? You don't like hearing about free speech and the correct definitions of terms. It's just a title and the word 'doctor' doesn't necessarily mean "medical doctor." Are you averse to dentists, optometrists, and podiatrists using the doctor title?
@TheFlanker35 With the people you talk about like dentists, I don't expect them to have gone to the same medical school as a surgeon since they're treating different problems. Even if their title says doctor, I can tell that most likely they're not. Quite a different case for a chiropractic
@sandshred25 Yeah he did because he is a doctor. He is an expert in human anatomy and he heals people. I would say that qualifies. Looks like 8 other dummies are as ignorant as you.
The first time i had this done by the chiropractor, he only did one side. Afterwards I could not feel my legs and as soon as i stood up i just lost all feeling and dropped. I was able to catch myself and the feeling eventually came back. But it was very scary to have no feeling in my legs. I am not sure if this is normal...I haven't been back since then. I had fallen on the back of my neck on a trampoline with my knees between my face! This caused the damage to my back.
Unless you go dressed in drag and stuff your bra. Then, not only will you get an appointment, he will ask if you will be so kind as to spend some extra time with him so he can film internet videos.
Once this is done does it last? I've been having problems with my hip for about 9 months now, and I've been misdiagnosed with bursitis (no idea how they did that) and the pains only getting worse. I seriously need to find a decent chiropractor in the UK
My hips grew uneven from scoliosis, is there a way I could readjust them permanently?

"Oh yeah baby, I enjoy the sensation that arrives in me as a result of inserting my P**** into you v******" LOL

@RuneFinity44 he is not a doctor, though.

I have had the same treatment at my chiropractic clinic, it really helps. Please stop passing cheap and vulgar remarks. You too would try this treatment if you were in pain!

sandshred25 2 months ago 9
@sandshred25 chiropractors are just as qualified in their field as medical doctors.
kzam90 2 months ago
@kzam90 what's that field?
NecatorNimrod 2 months ago
@NecatorNimrod chiropractic medicine.
kzam90 2 months ago
@sandshred25,
The term 'doctor' shouldn't have to refer to a physician. It just means that someone has completed a thorough education on a particular topic. It shouldn't be legally protected.
The term "medical doctor" should be legally protected.

@sandshred25,
Why? You don't like hearing about free speech and the correct definitions of terms. It's just a title and the word 'doctor' doesn't necessarily mean "medical doctor." Are you averse to dentists, optometrists, and podiatrists using the doctor title?
TheFlanker35 1 month ago 6
@TheFlanker35 With the people you talk about like dentists, I don't expect them to have gone to the same medical school as a surgeon since they're treating different problems. Even if their title says doctor, I can tell that most likely they're not. Quite a different case for a chiropractic
bla7091 2 weeks ago
@sandshred25 Yeah he did because he is a doctor. He is an expert in human anatomy and he heals people. I would say that qualifies. Looks like 8 other dummies are as ignorant as you.

@sandshred25 It's actually pretty hard to become one, a chiropractor

DMB44182 1 month ago
The first time i had this done by the chiropractor, he only did one side. Afterwards I could not feel my legs and as soon as i stood up i just lost all feeling and dropped. I was able to catch myself and the feeling eventually came back. But it was very scary to have no feeling in my legs. I am not sure if this is normal...I haven't been back since then. I had fallen on the back of my neck on a trampoline with my knees between my face! This caused the damage to my back.

So...if a man wanted an appointment with Dr. Echols the standard reply might be "nope, I'm all booked up until January of 2013."
inbredagogo 3 months ago
@inbredagogo Yup.
