Rafi sahab had what most singers would die for. Elegance and grace. One of my favourite rafi renditions. Just exudes class and really dignifies the fact of the golden era.
whats so funny abt this song dude...I really don't understand and what is lol .24..what is all this.. becoz the lyrics and music is truely awesome,my childhood fav song is this...Rafi sahab is amazing for this song particularly...whether you like it or not but tht doesn't reduces the beauty of this sweet song...
@subarna1511 Well you are comparing 1968 romance, culture and movies humor with 2011 ? Perhaps that is the big reason why we don't have such a innocence, pure romance, shyness, love and respect in today movies and that is why they become old news before even release in the theaters. :)
As we grow older together, As we continue to change with age, There is one thing that will never change. . . I will always keep falling in love with you.
Superb lyrics and fantastic tune. Just listen to this song on a long drive. Listen to both versions. What music, RD Burman was a great composer. You can simply forget today's songs
Compare dis bollywood song's lyrics, voice and music of 1968 to any of the music now in India itself or any where in the world......i give u an odds of 10-1, still i ll win.....i bet it.
rafi is king kishore is no where this heavenly voice i do agree that kishore had ore melodious voice but he was no where rafi you people who love kishore have no sense to real music you just like NOISE when you will understand that rafi was rare with a voice that can influence people everywhere in the globe and people who dosen't understand a word in hindi such as myself than you will realise what REAL music is
yes u are right i think rafi is best of every singer his melodious voice no comparision to any one he is only one king of singing world his tramendous voice no any got .he is not only good singer but he also a very good man u know if any producer no have money rafi sahab singing witout take any money that time no matter any money but no any singer do this without money so called rafi jaisa na koi hua naa hoga .............
for KHOB111 These songs and artist have gone and we are left with thegutter of music which is basically soft porn...mixed gymnatic dancing! todays "W RITERS" of songs have a deep understanding of a mixed HINDI and AFRO CARIBBEAN culture! Todays singers dont even understand classic Hindi/Urdu or the mean deep meaning of our culture which goes back 5000 years!
Sanjay Khan's has a voice with deep baritone. Rafi's voice is good but pretty thin as compared to Sanjay Khan's voice. Rafi belonged to an era where it was difficult to identify the actor for whom he was giving the voice. I really cannot distinguish between the 'voice' rendered for Rajendra Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Bharat Bhushan, etc. The real playback singing started with Kishore Kumar - Rajesh Khanna duo, man and what a match.
@ParthoGuru Kishore had only one style and that for Rajesh Khanna only. Many actors took help of Rafisaab voice to reach top and then switched over to Kishore, all them realised that they made mistake and when they went flop came back to Rafi to Rafi again, except for Rajesh Khanna. Kishore couldn,t even sing the sad song of Haathi Mera Saathi ( Nufrat ki duniya ko Chorkar pyar ki Duniya mai) for Rajesh Khanna. Sorry don't mention Kishore in company of Rafisaab, It means Suraj ko Chirag dekhana
wow, Nanda looks so gorg in that fitting salwar kameez. Only the hair style gives me hiccups. The 60's hairdo was very funny. Big buns and bumble bee styles and always made the heroines head look bigger than usual! All of them, Vyjyanthi, Saira, Mala, Asha, Sharmila, Sadhana, Babita and Nanda here always looked 5 inches above their head!
well rafi was trained singer, and no doubt, he has class, but it is wrong to call kishore tim epass singer, he was the only one who has no training and still can sing beside, rafi, lata, g u have to admit his voice was full of melodey, some ppl thinks, he was brought to sing so they can defame rafi sahib, which was next ot impossible, i love both.
There has never been Transition period from Rafi to Kishore. Kishore emerged as a popular singer but it could not shade off greatness of Rafi sahab as KING.

RD Burman's music of the late 60s, great!.. I believe this period was the Rafi-to-Kishore transition period.. and we had the super-singer Kishore-da emerge as the king of playback singers.
4/ think of any kishore hits, than just think if that song was sung by rafi.
5/ list of great male singers for me are -k.l.saigal- manna dey -talat mahmood- mahender kapoor- mukesh-and MOHD RAFI- note kishore kumar not in my list of greats..
6/ the only songs of kishor i like are from the 1950s-and early 60s
Kya yeh din kabhi laut kar nahin aa sakte? Rafi Saab... aap ke siva hum log kahan jayenge. Ab wapas aa jao. Aapki aawaz rooh ki tarah bhatakti hai is zaalim duniyan mein jahan nangi tasveeren, jism ke har hisse ki beghairat numaish se hum tang aa chuke hain. Aaj ka eik bhi geet apni bepanah ashleelta ke bawajood woh lajawaab jazba nahin jaga paata jo aapke is geet ne kiya. Sleep tight Rafi Saab.

That's funny, because everyone else can distinguish between Rafi singing
for a Shammi, Dev, Dilip, Dharmendra or Biswajeet etc. Kishore sounded similar for every actor he sang for, whether it was Rajesh Khanna or Amitabh.
