  • EVERYONE.........SORRY GOOD REVIEW NOT JUDGING IT BUT THIS LAPTOP SUCKS! DO NOT BUY IT! AFTER 1 WEEK THE FAN CAN BE HEARD FROM THE NEXT FLOOR........

IT WILL GET SO HOT YOU CANNOT PUT IT ON YOUR LAP AT ALL.......

BATTERY WONT LAST 2 MIN FOR ME! LITERALLY!

    JUST A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE LAPTOP

  • u know the thing at he bottom of the screen where the time date and start thing are well mine moved to the top do u no how to fix that

  • is it heavy?

  • HP laptops ARE SHIT I had an HP dv4 and it fell apart horrible build quality. I now have a macbook pro 13" 2010 and I love it! money well spent

  • where is the microphone ? =(

  • Great review. I don't believe I'm worried about those extra 8 ounces I will need to carry around. I was wondering what that was for!

  • does it over heat?

  • HP = SHIT

  • "a nice looking hinge" wow, im sold!

  • JkaliJ, does the laptop overheat alot? How hot does it get? I am wondering because of the AMD processor, which i heard gets hot constantly.

  • Also which is better Intel Core i3 or i5. I'm a college student and I will only be using it for mostly basic stuffs like Office, Internet, Email, Youtube, Watching movies, music, etc... Please respond. Thank you.

  • i have the same problem deciding.. I have the choice between the Pavilion DV4-2160SB or the DV4-2167SB

The difference between is that 2160SB does not have bluetooth (which is important for me) but has a intel i5 processor, whereas the 2167SB has bluetooth (and a fingerprint reader) but has a i3 processor... is this a big difference for the processors?? (btw both or exact same price)

  • Core i5 is better.

  • i5 is better, but you can live with the i3 because you don't need THAT fast of a processor for your needs.

  • If you only do basic tasks, the Core i3 will be more of a "bang for your buck". Even though it is the lower end of the Core i series, it is still faster than most Core 2 Duos out there.

  • @rchung8888 i5 is better

  • i'm thinking of buying the new HP dv4-2160us with Intel Core i5. Would you recommend the dv4-2160us or the HP dm3-1040us. Please respond.

  • can someone please tell me what the remote is used for?

  • In terms of gaming, do you think that this laptop will be able to handle playing Spore? Also, what kind of graphics card do you have in there?

  • @nicks2048

i think it would handle playing spore, it isn't a very demanding game. But it's not a gaming laptop.

  • Windows7 is great on this laptop so much better than Vista and XP

  • Hello, this Hp DV4 has Bluetooth??? I'm thinking of buying it but it is unclear, some tell me if others do not ... : S

  • no bluetooth if you buy it from bestbuy.

    You can customise it online

  • hey,. i just wana ask if do you experience overheating problems with dv4 models? coz im planning to buy one! and if the display is really bright and sharp?

  • no over heating problems....sharp screen, brightness ok...... have the same bought at best buy like middle of nov great computer

  • Do you think you can put on some websites, such as yahoo, google, cnn, deviantart, anything like that so I can see the screen size on the internet? thanks. <3

  • get a hp netbook if u dont need the drive....

  • lmao awesome review

  • I'm buying this machine in a day or two. Iy will have 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo 3MB Cache, 250 GB HDD, 3 GB DDR2 RAM, and Nvidia GeForce 9200M GS. Will it be able to play Call of Duty 4, at the least??? Also is it okay at a price of $1000-1049????

  • why the hell would you get this laptop for 1049 get a gaming notebook man

  • No, your wrong, it goes for 449.99 at best buy

  • where do you buy this?

  • You can get these at Best Buy.. however I think they are discontinued. They carry a similar model (shape and features) only its black and has a Intel Core2.

  • Hows the processor? Heat? Does it run as well as you may expect from an equal Intel processor? I've never used an AMD based PC, so I'm unsure of the comparison.

I'm looking into either this or a Intel based one, is it worth the extra 200$ for the Intel Core 2 Duo.

  • I think it works just as well as a comperable intel chip. The heat is non exsistant. Playing games the fan would kick up but thats about it. Ran flawlessly.

200 dollars more? Nah, save that money.

  • I was thinking about getting this when I go away to school. Do you think this would be a good pick?

  • Oh absolutely. Its small enough and powerful enough to do just about anything. Besides games. Its also 14.1 inches... which I like... a little bigger than the "ultra portable" and a big step up from a netbook.

Its quiet and never gets very hot... at least mine didnt. I think you get a lot of features for the money.

Like I said, its good for very casual gaming. It does surprisingly well. Just don't expect high settings on all games... low and medium at best.

  • Hey, I have this laptop, What games do you play on this because I either get a game that looks like shit or a game that looks so good, I can't run it. I can run BF2 on high settings. But what do you play?
