@davidmartin8000 the thing is there are a set of rules for battling in comedy, and a strict code of conducts for mainstream comedians. you battle over whose funnier, not jowning back and forth the whole time or even worse the whole time. thats not what comedians do, that's what people do in grade school or in barbershops. kat williams broke that code and people with no class loved it.

well, in all respect to steve he has been around longer. However, working in comedy, you should be able to roast ppl as well as take a joke. Steve sounds slightly upset...comedy comes in different forms, theres an art to it. If the ppl laughed at what Katt said then that must mean the audience found it comedic. Steve Harvey is a great comedian, and So is Katt Williams. people shout Katt was wrong, When Steve started the mess. Katt is the type of comedian who doesnt give a flying FUCK. and Steve wants to keep tradition, but tradition is changing and so is comedy. comedians are goin in on other comedians. why else would they have ROASTS. You have to take it for what it is. comedy will never be just clean cut. you do what you are good at and thats what Katt Williams did. Steve continue with the morin show

This is a competitive world. Just like sports, rap, comedy or whatever. If somebody brings it to you, then you are suppose to represent. Not coward out. He did not represent. Then he tried to pull I showed class card. Comedy is about making people laugh. All the good comedians crack on people. From Jammie, Eddie, Richard, Martin even Bernie would have replied. He just got out done in his profession.

Comedy is a living art form if you think it is just about cracking on people than you are far from the truth than you think. Both katt and steve was in the wrong for doing something so pointless and stupid. We ran his ass out of Oakland on New Years Eve, because he thought he could come out and give us 'Lemons' and we would just grin and bare it.....Hell Naw!! if Steve Harvey really wanted to embarrass Katt, i mean really tear into him, he would have done it within the first 2 mins he stepped on stage. Both of these two men are funny, but I too lost a lot of respect for Katt. if he is retiring then good for him might help him realize that using ur own material instead of insulting and bashing can be way funnier.

If Steve intended this to be a way to knock Katt down, don't you think he would have taken low blows when he went up? It's a championship bc they're both funny as hell, & have diff styles... like dance & dj battles.. the best battle, but not intended to demean the other. Katt shouldn't have to resort to insults towards Steve to gain laughs. He's funny enough to hold his own. These are two comedians I like, but I lost respect for Katt after this.
