@teknotoast I have seen TheSlowMoGuys' videos before and they're fantastic. The way my camera is the same as the way that their camera works. However, they're using a $100,000+ camera that can shoot at a higher frame rate (which results in a slower video when played back at normal speed) and higher resolution than my $300 camera that is nowhere near as good.

Are you able to slow down the video playback more when the actual explosion occurs? It would be much better if you could. I suggest bringing the video into Adobe After Effects and use Twixtor plug-in to dramatically slow down the explosion part.

@CLK50000 I possibly could, but I don't have that program and I don't know if it's worth the effort. This video was recorded at 420 fps and played back at 30 fps - all of the slow motion is from the camera, not editing; perhaps that actually makes your suggestion more likely to work. Either way, feel free to download the video using DownloadHelper or a similar plug-in and try it yourself.
