Using the same logic as the writer who responded to you we should say to construction workers: "don't wear work gloves and steel toed boots on the job. If you were doing the job like we told you, accidents like beams falling on your feet and hammers hitting your fingers would never happen. that is your choice but for those that have not been properly made aware of condoms and other contraceptives then they WILL get pregnant or get STDs or both. by keeping youth ignorant it increases the likelihood they will be harmed.

I found this vid because it was listed as related to my new vlog on this subject. But mine also went to talk about the "virginity culuture" it helps create. But anyway, good vid and I agree completely. I remember reading about this school whose teen pregnancy rate is 2x the national average and they use abstinence-only education.

"It hasn't worked in the past" Yeah for hundreds of years, I think we can safely say the lack of information system has been tried and tested and it doesn't work! People have to realize, teaching is about information and facts, deliberately misleading and leaving vast information out is not teaching. Kids need to have all the information so they can make a decision on the facts. It's the people who preach abstinence only that are very against abortion, its counterproductive. Anyway, good video

America has always been hellbent to force everyone into this image and if not that, then it is religion. I'm in america and it's bullshit. Like you said, we are not stupid and yet they still try to make it seem that we are. Sex is going to happen. It's apart of life. Doesn't matter if it is before or after marriage, as long as we're safe. But these schools don't teach us really anything. So I agree with your points.

abstinance only does nothing to prep the kids, you should check out Penn & Teller's show Bullshit where they talk about this issue they devote an entire episode to it.
