j'ai eu la chance de découvrir ça à 16 ans (quelle chance d'avoir un tonton de 15 ans + agé) quand tous mes potes et moi écoutions du rock. Et puis après Coltrane, Albert Ayler, Cecil Taylor...

j'ai vu A.Shepp en concert à 20/21 ans .... quelle présence,quelle force.

This record made me discover and love jazz ..It was in the seventies.

Then, i give it to listen to friends, most of them were rock-pop listeners, as i was myself in those times.

Two of them became jazz listeners... as I'am too to day.

Thank you to everybody... Archie Shepp, Jeanne Lee .. for this fabulous gift

@beaf63  Si tu aimes Archie,il faut que tu ecoutes a tout prix l'album ATTICA BLUES ,datant de 1972 et qui reste une reference dans la discographie de Monsieur Shepp.L'ensemble est splendide ,et musicalement,illustre une recherche sur le sens de la nature humaine et s'inscrit dans la bataille des noirs pour les droits civique.Un chef d'oeuvre,une oeuvre humaniste!
