oh man you have no ideo about the dance evolution.
look
boogaloo sam created POPPING & BOOGALOO(Boog-style)in 1975-80.He was inspired by THE LOCKERS(shabadoo&co) which performed a new dancestyle which called LOCKING on TV.That was the first step of the hip hop dance evolution.after locking there was popping and boogaloo.after popping and boogaloo there was bboying(breakdance) and new jack swing and so on.
And man I am a popper and boogstyler too so I know a lot about the hip hop culture!!!
actually if you got to the Bay and talk to some OG's... they'll tell you that they were doin boogaloo in the 1960's before Sam ever got exposure... Sam was just in the right place at the right time to get known for it... but I don't discredit him for helping innovate and pioneer the "boog-style" along with popping... he definately paid his dues...
look ya both r right and yet wrong sam started poppin. but the style that was uprising after lockin was hittin. but cud not is not poppin due to the lack of muscle tension its a simple retraction of the knees. bout sam did originate the boogaloo style...damn dudes thiers is no need to dis each other settle it like gentlemen and battle 4 respect. think about it how wud skeeta rabbit resolve this

btw popping isnt hiphop it was funk breaking is hiphop because it was made in the hiphop era popping was in the funk era but everything els u said is right fresno CA NOT AND I MEAN NOT nyc he came over here and actually some say he saw somone popping and sam jus made it mainstream kinna like what retro did with turfing
I think every popper should have some kind of old school basics like this when they pop..I love the new school too. but I'm stright old school trying to get back in it again....(way to keep poppin alive)...
