  • who gives a fuck about the US? australia have given ford something over the last few decades in touring cars and now they just pulled the plug on their best teams. who gives a fuck about SBR? they're shit now. djr are unlucky coz fpr are our factory team but they've donw fuck all and triple 888 are our best team. 2 championships and 3 bathurst victories. not to mention many round victories

  • thats stupid, theres nothing australian about those cars idiots

  • This move by Ford is crap pure and simple. After 2 Bathursts back to back, this 888's reward?

As for DJR,Dick has given Ford years of loyal service and is given the flick?

This is as bad as when Ford dropped the V8 in 82 or in 87 when Holden dumped Peter Brock. Between 1980-88 name another Ford driver that came close to DJ's effort's for Ford?Answer none

3 Bathursts and 5 championships, there would have been more if Ford put more money into DJR,simple fact DJR should be the factory team.

  • Pulling back? They have to cut funds so they can still afford to make new cars...

Haven't you heard, Ford are running out of money because no one is buying them at the rate they are producing them.

They are pulling back, they just can't afford to spend money on more than two teams. In my opinion they should have sponsered JBR instead of FPR because they need the money more.

  • It's annoying that Ford are pulling back but I would much rather see Holden Vs. Ford Vs. Mercedes Vs. Jag Vs. BMW and whoever

  • yea

Australians made it very clear they wanted to watch cars they could identify with.

These days, if Mazda, Toyota, and Mitsubishi joined in, as long as they stuck to the same formula and didn't cheat with things like Sierra;s and Nissan Godzilla's, I believe most Australians would be accepting of some variety, but as for exotic vehicles which very few can afford, you'd take away the Holden, Ford, kind of local rivalry and replace it with the international up themselves mob.

This got the flick once and I don't believe Australians would want it tried again.

We want motor sport rivalry, not class warfare.
