"A rickety wooden sailboat carrying the largest group of Haitian boat people to arrive in South Florida in more than a year was saved from sinking Monday 100 yards off Hollywood Beach.
The 20-foot hand-hewn craft was taking on water and beginning to list at sunrise Monday. On deck, 21 men, five women, two boys and one baby girl huddled together, waiting."
You should see the CBS Special Report clip from 1983 that I uploaded... it contains a Merv Griffin promo where the main topic is a debate on the right to die, very controversial for daytime TV...
This appears to be from Monday April 4, 1983, the day shuttle mission STS-6 was launched. This was the maiden voyage of the Challenger.

@Buswaylocal Yes, it is.
This is from the Miami Herald (4/5/1983):

The 20-foot hand-hewn craft was taking on water and beginning to list at sunrise Monday. On deck, 21 men, five women, two boys and one baby girl huddled together, waiting."
