@ryebread710 Maybe her braids were different? I'm pretty sure you weren't on the set and HER braids could've not worked. Not all braids are the same, her braids could have NOT been versatile, while these girls were. They probably were completely different. I didn't see that season but I'm guessing these are a LOT different. It may look like the stupidest thing in the world to freak out so much at the prospect of getting a haircut, but a person's (especially a woman's) hair can be so much a part of their identity and sense of self - they can become emotionally attached to it and not even realise it until they're faced with the idea of changing/losing their hair.
