@SKYLINE the point of these shows isn't just the building of a model , it's all about showing you the techniques of the building of a model the way these pro guy's do it. I think every one learns something from these episodes, I know I have. I don't have an air brush , most peep's don't . Yeah he's got seven of them , so what . He could easily do it the way you say , and probobly does , but again that's not the point of the show . If you are so good why aren't you on a show?
what kind of compound is the small white bottle? not the tamiya compound i mean. Also in part 5, why did he need to wet sand the already sprayed clear coating?
@gtr34skyline1985 His technique (based on this and other videos) seems to be to put down a crappy paintjob with rattlecans first and then spend a lot of time polishing the clearcoat. The problem is that you can see the orange peel in the underlying paint through the clearcoat (look how wavy the reflections are in part 5). If you want a really quality finish, airbrush and sand all coats.
i love japan

the yellow decal on the hood is completely misplaced... ??
howcome..
otherwise a stunning model!
soolmate 4 years ago
Is not a decal, is a license plate, look when he takes pictures of the real car, there you can see in more detail.
mrbrown950950 4 years ago
I think it's the visual angle that made you thought the yellow decal is misplaced. it's because the bonnet isn't flat where the decal sits.
