  • thank you, you helped me alot!

  • don't mess up the 117 likes this video deserves it.

  • Not real mud mind u! That was hilarious!

  • Cool video. I already use all of those techniques to paint my custom action figures.

  • what is this made out of?

  • wow 6666 views, thats kinda creepy

  • oh my gosh, i wanna do this!

  • How long did you wait between each paint coat?

  • Is the Armour made with The pepakura and Fiberglass???? BTW awsome work, this is going to be very helpfull

  • @Robechkin Ok I watch your orientation and read a lot on the 405th community. I understand more now :)

  • but what are those pieces of armor?

  • Halo Legends was weird.....

  • i have to say using the "mud" color was a fantastic idea. i'm an artist and i didn't even think of that. great work :)

  • chrome paint,....... won't that make your armor silver?

why do you use chrome paint for?

    i don't understand

  • @freshbreath3 Its to make the edges look like paint was scraped off. That means it seems like it is metal underneath the paint.

  • @AlphaProto oh that makes sense thanks alpha

  • I think the recessed areas look better with the black auto-primer from the old video, but this is still AMAZING

  • Best tutorial out there, cheers (: big help

  • dude sell this shit so many people would buy i know i would

  • Were do u get that armor

  • Um would this work on pepecura armor? (sorry if I miss spelled that or anything else) and would it look any good? Could I do this in green? What colors would I use? Also any tips to make the armor look awesome?

Thanks! Sorry for so many questions.

  • did u pep thos or mold them and if u pepd them how long did it take my suit has been taking a long time almost 2 years im kind of lost in building because iv ruind most of my peices with bondo it an i do not get along do u have any tips pls help

  • @sk8ki @sk8ki he molded them, and if you need help, go to 405th, they'll tell you everything you need to know! and if you can't get the bondo to work, I would recommend putting VERY small amounts on, and smoothing it, while it's still wet, and using VERY heavy card-stock! hope I helped!

    -Evan

  • @evanmcorleytv yest does ive been a member of the 405th for almost a year know ive also just founf out that if i use a lot of fiberglass resin it gives it a sumi smooth it took like 7 -10 layers i lost count but thanks

  • @sk8ki I was talking about bondo... but whatever..and by smoothing when wet, I meant smoothing it with what you're applying it with, NEVER sand it while it's wet.. and NEVER fiberglass the outside!

  • very impressive work.....look forward to seeing the completed armour set

  • you are soo lucky to have all those moulds-u r epic m8

  • 3 years later and That "new shirt" that you ruined a while back is still in use.

  • I really should give my ODST armor a better coat. Most of the painting I did on it is last-minute stuff. Passible, but it could look better. People still compliment me on the "weathered" appearance of the surface, but the joke is on them, as that is not painting, it just naturally gets like that after a few days of convention wear. :)

  • awesome

  • If I wanted to could I have the 405th ensign as an emblem on the armor chest piece if I could draw it out or is there a thing where I have to be a high enough 405th member( because I am still a noob)?

  • Do you ever sell your armor? I would kill to get armor like this :D You sir, are a God!

  • @JonnyBoy603 you can make your own, over at 405th.com

  • @Nephy3107 How could I make my own?

  • @JonnyBoy603 in short: make a paper armour, use resin and fiberglass to strengthen it, bondo and sandpaper to smooth it out and lastly paint it.

  • @JonnyBoy603 if u watch backyard fx they have a episode on how to make it

  • @TheMax13542 yeah and the one they show is shit

  • One day when i have the damn money I'm going to make a nice set of ODST Armor via your tutorials Adam.

  • I wish Adam was my neighbor so he could help me with a costume.

  • would you recommend for making, pepakura or molding with silcone ?

  • Thanks for this vid man!

  • 7:15 Heh, you spilled. Case study for why you always work outside.

  • You should make more videos of you walking around in town with armor on again. Those were awesome, seeing people's reactions to it

  • your attention to detail is amazing

  • This is much better than the first and thank you Adam for the help and hard work.

  • Awesome adam:D Can't wait to see the video with the helmets^^

Btw, what are names of the songs you used? I know they are halo, but they sound a little like remixes:)

  • @Jico762 Halo Legends soundtrack.

  • @gametavern Thanks:)

  • @gametavern Would've never guessed that! with one of those soundtracks i actually thought it was a released Operation Chastity soundtrack!

    Nice new tutorial Adam!

  • this is awesome, Adam!!! :D

  • Wen u will make Reach armor?

  • just amazing!!

Btw, are you making a new armor =) ?

  • Simply Amazing!!

  • You should seriously stand in front of a video game store such as EB Games or Gamestop and scare people by moving when they take a closer look at your armour.

  • I've actually been using these tutorials and I'm almost done with my fallout armor :D

  • Well done

  • That stool.

    Is not for sitting.
